Franzen has been out since February 10th with a hip injury and is still not ready to return the lineup. The Red Wings are severly banged up and need Franzen back as soon as possible.

Franzen has been out since February 10th with a hip injury and is still not ready to return the lineup. The Red Wings are severly banged up and need Franzen back as soon as possible.

Landeskog (concussion) hasn't played since January 26th. It appears he will return to the Avs lineup this weekend.

Anisimov was hurt in a scary looking incident last night. Red Wings defenceman Kyle Quincey accidentally hit Anisimov in the face with his elbow as he fell to the ice. Anisimov laid on the ice motionless and was rushed to a local hospital. There is no timetable for his return at this point.

Redmond suffered a deep cut above his knee at practice and was rushed to the hospital to have emergency surgery. He will miss the rest of the season.

Holtby will make his sixth consecutive start tomorrow when the Capitals take on the Devils. He stopped 34 of 37 shots in a 3-2 lost to the Devils last night. It is a tough matchup for Holtby but he has started to play much better lately after a rocky start to the season.

With Craig Anderson going down with an ankle injury the Senators have recalled Lehner. He is 18-10-2 in the AHL this season with a 2.12 GAA and .938 SV%.

The Senators lost Anderson at 1:43 of the third period after Rangers forward Chris Kreider was tripped in front and slid into the unsuspecting netminder. He is considered day-to-day at this point, monitor his status over the next few days for a more accurate report on how long he will be out.

Hossa left the Blackhawks last contest after he took a forearm shot to the back of the head from Canucks forward Jannik Hansen. Hansen was suspended 1 game for the incident but Hossa will no miss any time as a result of the hit. He will be back in Chicago's lineup tonight when they play San Jose. Hossa has 8 G, 6 A and a +6 in 16 games this season.

Rinne won his last start vs. Detroit and has now won 3 of his last 4. The Predators are a fairly strong defensive team and with Rinne backstopping them, they are hard to score on. Rinne is a must-start in al formats however he has a difficult matchup tonight vs. Vancouver.

Dipietro signed a 15-year $67.5 million dollar contract in 2006. It is unlikely that anyone will claim Dipietro and he will go to the AHL.
Read won't play tonight for the Flyers. McGinn will take his spot in the lineup alongside Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek.

Bryzgalov goes back to back after a 6-5 victory last night against the Pens.

Read left yesterday's game with an injury but there is no word on wether or not he will play tonight. Some reports say he might some say he won't so check in during warmups to see what the real story is.

Pavelec ended his four game losing streak in his last start when he recorded a win vs. Buffalo. He has a tough matchup tonight vs. the Hurricanes. I would look elsewhere for my starter tonight.

Ward stopped 23 of 26 shots that he faced in his last start vs. Montreal, however Carolina was unable to score on Carey Price as they lost 3-0. Ward has a much easier matchup tonight vs. the Jets. Roll Ward with confidence.

Green missed the Caps last game and will be a game-time decision tonight. Monitor his status after warmups.

Reimer has skated lightly yesterday but still hasn't returned to regular practice. Reimer doesn't appear to be too far away at this point, keep an eye on him going forward.

Redmond fell during a 1-on-1 drill, ended up on the ice and a teammate stepped on the back of his knee, causing a deep cut. Redmond was taken to hospital by ambulance and the Jets said he was undergoing surgery early Thursday afternoon. We’ll provide updates as they become available.

Miller and the Sabres will look to turn things around tonight against the Leafs under their new head coach. Miller has great career numbers against the Leafs, but the Sabres and Miller fell to the Leafs 4-3 in OT in their last meeting.

Markstrom will make his first NHL start of the season. He is a great goalie prospect and with the Panthers struggling they are going to give the young kid a shot. I would assume Markstrom is up for good unless he plays terribly. However it can't get much worse than it already is. I would avoid starting him vs. Pittsburgh though.
