With Gustavsson out with an injury, Howard will continue to get the starts. He should be a safe bet against Columbus.

With Gustavsson out with an injury, Howard will continue to get the starts. He should be a safe bet against Columbus.

Subban will be a welcomed addition to the Habs roster. He is an exciting player and a solid fantasy contributer, get him in your lineup.

Pacioretty wasn't expected to be back this fast anyways but it seems like he's making a speedy recovery from his emergency appendectomy and should return soon.

MacArthur is going to miss his third straight game today since suffering a finger injury against the Rangers. Sounds like he could return on Monday though.

Whitney posted an assist in 20 minutes last night but also suffered a leg injury. He was placed on IR today, no timetable for his return.
Simmonds took an elbow to the head and was bleeding from the nose yesterday vs. the Capitals. He did not return to the game and sounds like he may not play in today's contest.

Dave Bolland, who crumpled to the ice early in the third period in yesterday's contest vs. Canucks. Bolland will be re-evaluated today to determine how serious the injury is. This would be a serious blow to the Blackhawks if he were to miss an extended period of time.

Reimer is coming off of 2 straight wins and has given the Maple Leafs a chance to win in his starts this season. Reimer has taken the starting job over which has increased his fantasy value but tonight's matchup isn't ideal.

Mason will get his 4th start of the season, he is 0-3 with a 2.97 GAA and .895 SV%. He has a tough matchup against the Red Wings, this isn't a good spot start opportunity. Look elsewhere.

Varlamov is coming into today's game having lost his last 3 starts and with the Avalanche riddled with injuries. Most importantly their captain Gabriel Landeskog. The matchup isn't great either as they take on a young electric Oilers team.

The Jets left this one to a game-time decision. Pavelec has given up 9 goals in the last two games and has a tough matchup against a high scoring Lightning team. Not the best option tonight.

He has played well in the early part of the season but isn't getting any goal support. The Flyers have shuffled their lines up recently hoping that will spark some production. Bryz has a good matchup tonight against a struggling Caps team.

This will be Emery's second start of the season. He won back on January 20th in a game where he gave up 4 goals. He is clearly the #2 in Chicago and doesn't hold any fantasy value other than spot-starts.

Hedberg gave up 1 goal on 29 shots in his first start of the season and took the loss in a shootout. Brodeur will start Saturday so Hedberg gets the call on Sunday. Hedberg gets the easier of the 2 match-ups as he will take on the Islanders but he still isn't fantasy relevant as a backup. He might make for a good spot-start though.
Brodeur has struggled in his last 2 outings giving up 9 goals and losing both contests. And it doesn't get any easier as he'll face Crosby, Malkin and the rest of the Penguins. I would steer clear of this matchup.

Fleury is coming off of his worst performance of the season and if Vokoun keeps playing the way he has been playing Fleury is going to continue to lose starts. Fleury better pick his play up before he is the #2 in Pittsburgh.

Boychuk who was claimed off of waivers yesterday from Carolina, will get a great chance to thrive in his first game as a Penguin as he will start alongside Malkin and Neal. The wing next to Malkin and Neal this year has been a revolving door of mediocre players, lets see if Boychuk can solidify a spot on this roster. He's getting the chance to do so.

This is a big game for Backstrom to solidify himself as the #1 in Minnesota. Harding has struggled in his last two starts and Backstrom has won his last two appearances (including a relief effort Wednesday). Anaheim has been mediocre in terms of scoring this season so the matchup isn't too bad for Backstrom.

Crawford is 5-0-1 with a 1.79 GAA and .931 SV% although he has a tough matchup tonight against the Canucks. Can you really bench a guy with those numbers though?

Tonight will mark the 5th straight game that Spurgeon has missed. However being back skating is a good sign that his return is not far off.
