Rinne lost in a shootout in the season opener against the Blue Jackets. The Blues dismantled the Red Wings in their opener, will be a tough opponent for Rinne. He is still a must-start in all formats but be weary of the Blues.

The 26-year-old Scrivens will get the start in goal again this evening.
Scrivens won in his first action of the season, 2-1 over the Habs. If he can get a couple of more wins and possibly solidify the #1 position in Toronto he'd be much more fantasy worthy. Until then its hard to recommend him as a fantasy starter.

Red Wings F Todd Bertuzzi does not have mononucleosis, could be back as soon as Friday. Original diagnosis was a false positive.
Good news for Bertuzzi owners because "mono" can be unpredictable, monitor his status going forward as he could be back in the lineup as soon as Friday. Bertuzzi is still only a viable fantasy option in deep leagues.

Kiprusoff allowed 4 goals on 29 shots in the Flames season opener, and the task doesn't get any easier tonight as he faces Anaheim who chased Cory Schneider from the net on Saturday, scoring 5 goals on 14 shots.

The Ducks looked awesome in their season opener against the Canucks. If that is a sign of things to come this season Hiller could grow into a trustworthy fantasy option.

Ward was pulled after allowing 4 goals to the Panthers in the season opener, but Hurricanes coach Kirk Muller shows confidence in Cam Ward to bounce back. The Hurricanes are still expected to be a playoff team this year so Ward just be just fine. Start with confidence.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired forward Jean-Francois Jacques from the Florida Panthers in exchange for future considerations.
Jacques has appeared in 24 games this season with San Antonio of the American Hockey League and has collected five goals with two assists. He has no fantasy relevance.

Right wing Jan Mursak will be out for several weeks due to a collar bone injury sustained in Saturday's season-opening 6-0 loss in St. Louis.
Patrick Eaves will take Mursak's place in the lineup.

Jonas Gustavsson, who played 18:45 in relief of Jimmy Howard on Saturday, won't dress the next two games due to a sore groin that he said is common for him at the start of a season
Howard will start the next 2 games at least for the Red Wings. Thomas McCollum will serve as backup.

Clemmensen doesn't have any fantasy value as a backup to José Théodore.

Théodore had a great start to the season making 41 saves on 42 shots in a 5-1 win over the Hurricanes. The Sens were also winners in their season opener so one of these teams will lose their first of the season... Will it be Théodore or Anderson?
DeBoer said Travis Zajac "tweaked something" Saturday, but both Zajac and Josefson "should be fine for tomorrow. Just maintenance."
Zajac is a good second-tier Center fantasy option playing with Kovalchuk. Monitor his status tomorrow to make sure he starts.
