Avs coach Joe Sacco told me Matt Duchene, who again skated by himself today, will not accompany the team to St. Louis, but that he does expect Dutchy to travel with the team during next week’s three-game trip through Canada.
Great news that Duchene continues to progress. Before getting hurt, he scored 12 goals and 24 points in 39 games. He should be able to get back in the lineup this month.

Cam Ward (20-18-9, 2.77 GAA, .913 SV%) will be in net, backed up by Justin Peters.
In five career starts against the Avs, Ward has a 3-2-0 record with a 2.81 GAA and .906 SV%.
Brenden Morrow will be out for the next couple of weeks to get better.
Not great news for the Stars' captain. While battling through injuries most of the season, the left wing has eight goals and 22 points in 43 games. Tomas Vincour has moved into the top-six in his stead.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
