Niemi was at "full go" this morning so expect him to at least backup tomorrow night.
Head coach Kirk Muller said Tim Gleason was "good to go." Gleason, a little banged up from last night, did not skate today.
Don't expect Gleason to miss any playing time. He has a goal and 15 points through 53 games.

Miikka Kiprusoff starts in net tonight.
In 30 career starts against the Blackhawks, Kipper has a 11-13-1-4 record with a 3.03 GAA and .899 SV%.
Alexei Ponikarovsky has some swelling in his left hand from being hit with Salvador shot Thursday. He said X-ray was negative.
Ponikarovsky is expected to play through the bruise. He has a goal and three points in four games with the Devils.

Johan Hedberg to start in net for Devils Saturday in Philadelphia.
In 21 career appearances against the Flyers, Hedberg has a 8-10-1 record with a 3.02 GAA, .897 SV% and one shutout.
Defenseman Bryce Salvador is not practicing today because he's "resting" his sore ankle.
Salvador will take more maintenance days as he rests his ankle. He has five assists through 50 games.

Elias with Parise and Kovalchuk, though.
Elias swaps onto the top line as the Devils put all of their top offensive weapons in the same place. The Devils' all-time leading scorer is enjoying another good season with 18 goals and 48 points through 49 games.

Josefson takes over on the third line with Carter injured. He has an assist through 11 games.
C Ryan Carter is not practicing today and won't play Saturday either because of a sore hand.
Carter was centering the third line but Jacob Josefson is expected to take over that role. He scored two goals and four points through 42 games with the Devils.
Adam Larsson had X-rays and MRI on his back and both came back negative, but he won't play tomorrow in Philadelphia, Devils say.
Larsson has already been ruled out for tomorrow's tilt so make sure he stays on your bench. The rookie has been a bright point in an average season for the Devils, scoring two goals and 16 points through 47 games.

Zubrus moves down to the second line. In 50 games, he's scored 13 goals and 28 points. Certainly not a bad option in the deepest of fantasy hockey leagues.
Doesn't look like Adam Henrique (groin) will be practicing.
Expect Henrique to sit out tomorrow's game. The rookie has been centering the top line for most of the season, scoring 13 goals and 34 points through 43 games. His team will continue to ease him through this injury.

Palmieri returns to the AHL where he will get more playing time. The sniper scored a goal and two points through 11 games.

In the 2023-24 season, there were a total of 14 suspensions and 17 fines issued throughout the NHL. The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
