That suggests C Jeff Carter (shoulder) is not ready to play.
Carter remains sidelined with a separated shoulder. Limited to only 30 games, the top line center has 10 goals and 17 points on the season.

Savard comes back from his conditioning stint and likely fills out the third defensive pairing. The rookie has five assists in 15 games.

In his fifth AHL season, Joudrey earns his first callup. He is expected to make his NHL debut at some point this week.
The diagnosis of Dr. Robert S. Bray, a neurological spine specialist based in Los Angeles, is that Sidney Crosby had suffered a neck injury in addition to a concussion. Dr. Bray reports that the neck injury is fully healed. Those findings will be evaluated by independent specialists over the next few days. The most important goal all along has been Sidney's return to full health, and we are encouraged that progress continues to be made.?
More news on the severity of his injury but no hint on when he'll be making his return. Hopefully, we find out Sid is ready to go after visiting specialists.

Connelly is an AHL All Star with three good years of offensive production in the professional ranks. He could get a shot with the Flames as they try to get younger.

Omark has been injured which explains why he was not part of the recent rash of roster moves. Expect him to get another crack at the lineup once healthy.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
