Rutherford says D Joni Pitkanen (concussion/knee surgery) likely out until first week of March.
The March timeline likely is regarding his knee injury as Pitkanen still remains out indefinitely with a concussion. The former 4th overall pick has three goals and 12 points through 21 games but should not be owned in single-season leagues right now.

In two starts against the Jets this season, Biron has a 2-0-0 record with a 0.50 GAA, .980 SV% and one shutout.
Brad Mills also did not practice on Monday. Devils coach Pete DeBoer said he was "nursing something."
Safe to say Mills won't play tonight. He has an assist in 24 games. Look for Cam Janssen to get back in the lineup.
But the player who was absent came as a surprise: Jeff Schultz was not on the ice. A team spokesman said he was out with an illness.
Schultz won't play tonight and likely would have been a healthy scratch tonight anyways. He has five assists through 27 games with the Caps.

Nathan Horton is most likely suffering from a mild concussion, said GM Peter Chiarelli. Horton, who attended today's White House ceremony, was hurt in yesterday?s second period when he was hit from the side by Philadelphia's Tom Sestito.
Concussion protocol would dictate Horton misses at least a week of game action. With his past history of head injuries, it should be safe to assume he misses at least that amount of time. He scored 17 goals and 32 points in 46 games before getting hurt.
