Ennis is suffering from a nagging ankle injury and may not get up to full speed all season. He has three goals and five points through 15 games.
Regehr getting better but not close to playing yet
Regehr's return would assist an already-depleted Sabres blue line. He has two assists in 43 games in Buffalo.
Gaustad is an upper body injury, suffered in Chicago on Wed.
Gaustad will not play this weekend. The fourth line center has four goals and 10 points over 43 games.
Ruff says Kaleta is "90%" for Saturday
Kaleta gave it the old college try last night but still left the game early. He's questionable for Saturday's game. In 30 games, the agitator has three goals and five points with 60 PIM.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
