With the Jets locking in home-ice advantage in their impending first-round matchup against the Colorado Avalanche, they will give Connor Hellebuyck the night off in their final game of the season and turn to Brossoit. The 31-year-old Brossoit has had a terrific season as the Jets' backup, posting a 2.00 GAA and .928 SV% in 22 games (14-5-2).

Comtois recorded an assist while playing 13:04 time-on-ice while making his Hurricanes debut in their season finale on Tuesday but has been reassigned to the AHL. The 25-year-old Comtois has 43 points (19G / 24A) in 62 games with the Chicago Wolves (AHL).

Nedeljkovic will start on Wednesday in New York.

The Penguins were eliminated from the playoffs yesterday but will continue to roll with Nedeljkovic between the pipes on Wednesday against the New York Islanders. Nedeljkovic has allowed three or more goals in four of his last five (3-1-1) but saved 28 of 30 (.933 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 4-2 win over the Nashville Predators. The Penguins enter action as -130 road favourites.

Seguin (rest) will be out of Dallas' lineup for the final game of the regular season on Wednesday vs. St. Louis.

Seguin has been in and out of the lineup for the last several weeks for precautionary measures after returning from a lower-body injury. Evgenii Dadonov (lower-body) will return from a multi-month absence and replace Seguin in the lineup. Seguin has enjoyed a bounce-back 2023-24 campaign, scoring 52 points (25G / 27A) in 68 games.

Dadonov has not played since February 10th due to a lower-body fracture and will return to the lineup in the Stars' final game of the season. The Islanders have rolled with Semyon Varlamov in four of the last five games but will turn to Sorokin between the pipes for their last game of the season on Wednesday night. Sorokin has allowed two or fewer goals in his last three games (2-0-1) and was spectacular in a 2-1 losing effort in overtime to the New York Rangers in his most recent outing, saving 41 of 43 shots (.953 SV%). The Islanders enter action as +117 road underdogs on Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Stars can clinch the Western Conference title with a single point on Wednesday and will turn to Oettinger between the pipes to try and do so. Oettinger has started four straight and has been excellent lately, allowing two or fewer goals in nine of his last 10 (9-1-0), including saving 26 of 28 shots (.963 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 3-1 win over the Seattle Kraken. The Stars enter action on Wednesday as -227 home favourites against the St. Louis Blues.

Rumours of retirement have been put to rest as Fleury will continue his prolific NHL career for at least one more season. The 39-year-old Fleury has lost his footing slightly but was still serviceable between the pipes for Minnesota this season, posting a 2.98 GAA and .895 SV% in 39 games (17-14-5).

Rizzo was drafted 216th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes and has earned himself an entry-level contract after three seasons of collegiate hockey. The 22-year-old forward amassed 44 points (10G / 34A) in 30 games with the University of Denver this season.
