Martin has been sidelined since December 16th. The Minneapolis, Minnesota native has a goal and 10 points over 32 games.
Suspension
The NHL has suspended St. Louis Blues defenseman Ian Cole three games for an illegal check to the head of Detroit Red Wings forward Justin Abdelkader during the first period of Saturday's game at Joe Louis Arena.
Expect the Blues to recall a defenseman to replace Cole on the blue line.

Jim Slater is on the ice at Jets practice.
Slater is expected to be the third line center with Antti Miettinen and Tanner Glass.

Injury
Josefson did not accompany the Devils on their flight to Ottawa this afternoon. He remained in New Jersey to skate and work out on his own. There is a chance that he will join the team on its trip to Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg next week, but that hasn’t been decided, yet.
Josefson has been limited to only five games this season but is expected to draw back in within the next week. It remains to be seen if the 21-year-old will require a conditioning stint in Albany.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
