Briere has some sort of virus but isn't expected to miss any time. The veteran has seven goals and 20 points through 23 games. Expect a further word on his status.

Schenn is "fine" and just taking a maintenance day. Don't expect him to miss any playing time.

Meszaros is expected to rejoin the team tomorrow and shouldn't miss any playing time. With Chris Pronger already out, the Flyers can ill afford to lose a minutes eater like Meszaros.

If you own Reaves to stream PIM, bench him tomorrow night.

Backstrom getting back on the ice is a positive sign. However, his lack of participation in practice indicates he is still a few days away from returning.

Despite playing with solid linemates, the demotion to the second line adversely effects his fantasy hockey value. He could be arguably the best second line player who also plays on the second power play unit.

Beleskey continues to take reps with the big two and has worked out there in past seasons. The Windsor, Ontario native has two assists in 18 games with both points coming over the last two games.

Ellis continues to practice with the team, which is a good sign. At the rate Jonas Hiller is starting, he will need a rest sooner rather than later.

Fehr has only played in five games for his hometown team, registering an assist. He figures to slot in on a checking line with undesirable linemates which directly effects his fantasy hockey value.

Hainsey has only played in five games this season and holds no fantasy hockey value at the moment. He may get some valuable minutes and/or some power play time but he hasn't proven himself healthy all season.

Daley is a stalwart for the Stars' blue line and will be sorely missed. In 23 games, he scored a goal and four assists but more importantly played heavy minutes. Expect another update shortly.

Check back for a further word on Morrow's status over the next few days. The team's captain is currently taking maintenance on his wonky back and has no defined timetable for his return.

Engqvist is fully recovered after being hurt for a spell. He has no fantasy hockey value in the AHL.

Brodeur stopped only 18 of 23 shots when he faced the Leafs earlier this year.

Janssen is OK after going to the hospital on Saturday night. The team probably holds him out of the lineup for a few games.

Oreskovich will serve as a fourth liner for the time being.

Higgins will miss at least one game, which is a shame considering how well he was playing. The Smithtown, New York native has eight goals and 17 points in 26 games. Mason Raymond probably replaces him on the second line.

In 33 career starts against the Avs, Luongo holds a 13-15-5 record with a 2.87 GAA, .902 SV% and two shutouts.

Hunter moves back up to a scoring line. The veteran has only three assists through 14 games.

He's still a long way from returning but it remains a step in the right direction.
