Injury
Mike Green skated for a third time in the past four days on Tuesday morning prior to the main group taking the ice for their skate. Green has missed the past eight games with a strained right groin muscle. He did not speak to reporters.
Green continues to skate which is a positive sign. However, until he practices with the team there is no firm timetable for his return.

Defenseman John Erskine is expected to return to the lineup. He has missed the past four contests after falling on his surgically-repaired left shoulder in practice back on Nov. 20. The blueliner said he’s good to go.
Erskine could draw in for Jeff Schultz tonight. As a favored player of the old regime it will be interesting to see how he reacts, and is played, under Dale Hunter.
D Ron Hainsey (lower-body) is still out
Hainsey will miss yet another game. At this point there are likely much better options on the back end.

In nine career appearances against the Sens, Pavelec holds a 4-4-0 record with a 2.53 GAA and .922 SV%.

No word on who comes out of the lineup yet. The pugilist has two goals and seven points with 41 PIM in 19 games.

Carl Gunnarsson back at practice after missing Sunday's game in Anaheim.
He remains questionable for tomorrow's game against the Bruins. The Orebro, Sweden native posted six assists in his first 23 games this year.

In the 2023-24 season, there were a total of 14 suspensions and 17 fines issued throughout the NHL. The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
