In two career starts against the Stars, Gustavsson sports a 1-0-1 record with a 2.44 GAA and .914 SV%.

21-year-old Swedish netminder Anders Nilsson has been returned to Bridgeport of the American Hockey league.
Nilsson will get more seasoning in Bridgeport following his NHL debut. He holds no fantasy hockey value.

Al Montoya is ready to return from a hamstring injury that sidelined him last week.
Montoya is at least healthy enough to backup Rick DiPietro and could get some playing time without a three-headed monster between the pipes. His 2.44 GAA over six appearances is much lower than the average 3.01 GAA of his combined counterparts.

The Devils sent right wing Nick Palmieri to Albany of the AHL today.
Palmieri loses all immediate fantasy hockey value with this demotion. While there is value with the big winger playing with some skilled members of the Devils, it appears David Clarkson is quickly filling that role under new coach Pete DeBoer.

DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings allowed forward and expectant father Fabian Brunnstrom to stay home today after practice rather than fly with the team to Boston tonight for Friday's game against the Bruins.
While Brunnstrom will be technically on the roster, he will not play in Friday's tilt against the Bruins. Keep him out of the lineup if you own him. Prior to the demotion, the Swedish winger registered an assist in four games.
Injury
The veteran centre suffered a groin injury in the second period of Wednesday’s 4-3 shootout win over the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh. Jacques Martin declined to offer any information about the injury, but did say Gomez would not play against the Philadelphia Flyers Friday afternoon (3 p.m., RDS, TSN-HABS; TSN Radio-800) and won’t be available Saturday night when the Canadiens face Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Bell Centre.
Gomez will miss the next two games so remember to bench him through the weekend. The diminutive forward has struggled with only four assists in his 13 games played. He will need to outwork the top two centers if he is to regain any fantasy hockey value.
Know many have asked about Bobby Ryan. Was told afterward that he has a hip bruise/contusion. Learned elsewhere that he was definitely hurt.

Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
