The New York Islanders announced today that goaltender Mikko Koskinen has been assigned to KalPa of SM-Liiga (the Finnish Elite League).
Similar to the NHL club, there was a three-headed monster in Bridgeport. Koskinen holds no fantasy hockey value this season.

Barker (ankle) may be out for as long as four weeks
Barker is hurt for the second time this season, missing a month for this infliction. The offensive d-man scored a goal over 10 games prior to getting hurt. At this rate he may never get fully healthy this year.
