Eakin will miss tonight's game but likely draws back in shortly. The rookie scored a goal and an assist over his first two games.

Asked Maurice if Staal needed day off physically or to clear his mind or both. Said it was physical. Lot of minutes last night.
Staal also took a maintenance day today. He has not yet performed up to his standards which may be mentally linked to his brother's injury.
LaRose is at RCI but off ice. Have not seen Staal yet.
LaRose took a maintenance day but should be able to get back into the lineup. The gritty winger has three goals and eight points over his first 13 games this season.

Jokinen practiced by himself before the rest of the team but is not quite ready to return. He scored three goals and nine points over 12 games prior to his injury.

Rosehill is expected to draw into the lineup tonight. Through his first four games he hasn't even registered a PIM.

Lavy directed me to Homer when I asked about absent Andreas Nodl. Guessing he's out of the lineup tonight.
Nodl's nameplate was missing from the team's locker room which could also indicate a trade or demotion. He has one assist over nine games this season.

In the 2023-24 season, there were a total of 14 suspensions and 17 fines issued throughout the NHL. The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
