But Friday morning, Neuvirth was on the ice with his teammates for practice. Dany Sabourin was also on the ice. Neuvirth suffered a bruised foot in pregame warmups Oct. 10 and seemed to suffer a setback earlier this week. The team is still calling him day-to-day.
Neuvirth is doubtful to backup Tomas Vokoun this weekend. He could possibly start a game at some point next week but he would need to continue practicing with teammates without setbacks.
Adam McQuaid, out the last three games because of a neck injury, is practicing.
Good sign for the team as a healthy McQuaid add to their depth on the blue line. Considering McQuaid plays third pairing minutes with no PP time, don't expect any fantasy hockey impact.

Miller has two assists through his first five games with the P-Bruins. He likely stays down in the minors, serving as depth for the big club.

Considering the Sharks don't dress an enforcer, the Devils have little need to dress Janssen tonight. Tomorrow against the Penguins should be a different story.

Brunnstrom has yet to make his debut in a regular season game for the Red Wings. The Jonstorp, Sweden native will be a nice insurance plan once the team hits their usual bevy of injuries.

Hartnell moves back to the second line after playing most of this year on the third. Last season he scored 24 goals and 49 points while playing primarily with Danny Briere. Look for him to improve on his two assists over the first six games.
It is not known if Timonen had X-rays taken on his hand, but he saw a season-low amount of just 13:16 TOI, by far his lowest total this year. As a matter of fact, it was the first game he has not seen over 20 minutes of ice time.
Sounds like Timonen is hurt -- a blow to the team's defense. Stay tuned for a further update on the Finnish blue-liner.

In the 2023-24 season, there were a total of 14 suspensions and 17 fines issued throughout the NHL. The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
