Obviously putting him on the IR, there’s definitely seven days that are required before he can come off of it, so we’ll see where he is at the end of the seven days, with rehab and strengthening it."

Ducks D Kurtis Foster said he thinks he'll be ready for Friday after a good week of practice and is cool with waiting his turn to get in.

After a successful conditioning stint with Syracuse of the AHL, Foster still needs to learn his team's new system. Look for him to rotate with Sheldon Brookbank on the third defensive pairing.

Even though MacLean draws in, he does not figure to start the game on a scoring line. Look for someone like Kyle Wellwood to fill in on a scoring line.

Slava Voynov will play tomorrow and partner with Willie Mitchell.

Voynov should see healthy offensive minutes tomorrow night. Last season he managed to score 15 goals and 51 points with the Manchester Monarchs, proving his NHL readiness. Look for him to fill in for any wounded d-man and possibly playing on one of the two PP units.

Trotz also re-iterated that forward Martin Erat (upper-body) could meet the Predators later this week.

The team has off days on the 18th, 19th and 21st so Erat very well could play within the next 7-10 days. Last season, Erat scored 17 goals and 50 points playing primarily on the top two lines. As an often injured forward, fantasy hockey owners need to temper their expectations.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
