Saad can only be called back up with an emergency making him have no fantasy hockey impact on one-year leagues.

Foster could return this weekend, taking Nate Guenin out of the lineup. The offensive defenseman posted eight goals in each of his last two seasons. He could find similar success in Anaheim if given any significant PP time.

Kesler is having some discomfort skating but otherwise feels almost there. His replacement, Cody Hodgson, has one goal through his first two games which could help ease Kesler back. Expect him back within a week.

DiPietro's injury could pave the way for Evgeni Nabokov's return. Last season, the often-maligned starting goalie posted a 8-14-4 record with a 3.44 GAA and .886 SV%. Don't roster him unless fully healthy.

At this point it remains up in the air if Malkin will play tomorrow. Stay tuned for a further update on his status.

Halak comes into the game with a 0-3-0 record, 3.06 GAA and .875 SV% over three career starts against the Stars.

Grossman battled injuries most of last season, playing only 59 games. In those contests he managed to post a goal and 10 assists. Probably not too relevant in your fantasy hockey league.

Pardy was expected to play tomorrow but he did not practice with in his regular pairing. In his first season in Dallas he is expected to suit up on the top pairing next to Alex Goligoski. His one goal and seven points over only 30 games indicate he could have some value in deeper leagues.

This move clears the Wild from demoting an NHL-ready player while the Dallas Stars climb closer to the salary cap floor. Don't expect too much from the second-generation player as he only scored 23 goals over 286 NHL games.

Neuvirth holds a career 2-0-1 record with a 0.65 GAA, .977 SV% and two shutouts over three starts against the Pens.

While the Sabres have rolled to decisive wins, Roy remained in the background. Through the team's first two games, the number one center only registered one assist. Expect him to snap out of it once he develops chemistry with new left wing Nathan Gerbe.

This trade was simply done for salary cap purposes as the Flyers were at the 50-contract maximum following the failed Blair Betts waiver claim. Don't expect Legein to play in the NHL this season.

Hornqvist could join Martin Erat and Mike Fisher in the press box for the team's home opener. Should he miss tomorrow's game, look for the team to recall a forward from Milwaukee -- most notably WJHC hero Gabriel Bourque.

The way Callahan plays almost guarantees him to get hurt every season, in this situation the Rangers want to limit that as much as possibile. In his first two games as the team's captain, Callahan scored a goal while taking 13 shots, blocking three shots and registering nine hits. For deeper leagues with expanded categories, he's a goldmine.

If you own Penner, feel free to start him with impunity. Last season the power forward scored 23 goals and 45 points in a down season. He could very well return to the 30-goal range should he develop chemistry with his linemates.
