With Colorado securing their playoff position early, Wagner was recalled for the West Coast road trip over the weekend and has been returned to the Eagles (AHL) on Monday. The 33-year-old right-winger struggled offensively despite appearing in 28 games played this season, with just one goal, 14 PIMs and a -8 plus/minus.

Montreal can clinch a playoff berth with a win on Monday and will turn to Montembeault between the pipes against the Chicago Blackhawks. Montembeault has been excellent lately, helping the Canadiens push for the playoffs, posting a 2.01 GAA and .928 SV% since the beginning of April (4-1-0).
