Yamamoto will take a seat on Friday as the Kraken opt to get some fresh legs into their lineup for the tail-end of their back-to-back. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare will draw into the lineup in his place.

Bellemare will draw into the lineup after sitting on Thursday as the Kraken opt to get some fresh legs into their lineup on the tail-end of their back-to-back. Kailer Yamamoto will sit in his place.

Daccord will be back between the pipes on Friday for the tail-end of Seattle's back-to-back after Philipp Grubauer got the nod in Vegas on Thursday. Daccord endured one of his worst starts of the season his last time out, allowing three goals on just four shots against the Sabres on Monday before being lifted in favour of Grubauer. Daccord has delivered an impressive .917 SV% across 43 appearances this season but a lack of goal support means he's only been able to secure 17 victories. He'll be looking to snap a personal three-game losing streak when he takes on the Coyotes on Friday.

Werenski is battling a lower-body injury but appears to be available for Friday's game against the Colorado Avalanche. Werenski has been effective offensively lately, tallying five points (1G / 4A) in his last four games.

DeAngelo will take a seat on Friday as the Hurricanes are opting to dress just six defensemen. His absence makes way for the return of Teuvo Teravainen (upper-body).

Teravainen has missed the Hurricanes' previous four games due to an upper-body injury but will return on Friday. The 29-year-old winger has enjoyed a solid 2023-24 season as he has achieved a 20/20 for only the second time since 2018-19 with his 21 goals, 47 points, 124 SOG, 10 PIMs and +15 plus/minus through 66 games played.

The Hurricanes have rotated between Kochetkov and Freddie Andersen since the latter returned from his injury, and that trend will continue in Washington on Friday. Kochetkov was outstanding in his last start, allowing just a single goal on 31 shots as the Hurricanes secured a 4-1 victory on Long Island. The 24-year-old netminder has been on a tear of late, posting a .939 SV% and a 7-4-0 record over his last 11 appearances. He's got a great chance of staying in the win column on Friday night with the Hurricanes being -200 favourites in Washington.

Wilson's in-person hearing for his high stick on Toronto's Noah Gregor has led to a six-game suspension for the repeat offender. It is the sixth time that the 29-year-old has been suspended and will put a halt to his 2023-24 All-Star campaign where he has 17 goals, 32 points, and 120 PIMs in 66 games played. He will be eligible to return on April 4th vs. Pittsburgh

Teravainen has missed the Hurricanes' previous four games due to an upper-body injury but is expected to return on Friday if everything goes as planned, making him a game-time decision. The 29-year-old winger has enjoyed a solid 2023-24 season as he has achieved a 20/20 for only the second time since 2018-19 with his 21 goals, 47 points, 124 SOG, 10 PIMs and +15 plus/minus through 66 games played.

Halliday had just finished his second season at Ohio State (NCAA) and has signed with Ottawa on a two-year, entry-level contract that starts in 2024-25. The 21-year-old undrafted forward enjoyed a very strong season with the Buckeyes in 2023-24, with 10 goals, 36 points and 30 PIMs in 38 games played.

Krug did not pay in the Blues' 5-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday due to a lower-body injury but will return to the ice on Saturday. Krug is averaging a modest 0.49 points per game this season but has been limited to only two points (0G / 2A) in his last nine outings.

The Coyotes will turn to Vejmelka to tend the twine on Friday, his third start in the last five games. Vejmelka has played well lately, allowing three or fewer goals in four straight (2-2-0), including his most recent outing when he was tremendous, saving 37 of 38 shots (.974 SV%) in a 4-1 win over the New Jersey Devils. The Coyotes enter action as slight -106 underdogs against the Seattle Kraken.

Barkov played a season-high 24:26 in his last game on March 16th, but suffered an undisclosed injury at some point, and will likely miss a second consecutive game on Saturday. The 28-year-old Barkov has four points (3G / 1A) in his last six games but has been held off the scoresheet in four.

The Red Wings have been victorious in their last two games, with Jame Reimer in the crease, but will turn to Lyon on Saturday against the red-hot Nashville Predators. Lyon has been abysmal lately, allowing four or more goals in six of his last seven games (0-7-0), including five goals on 37 shots (.865 SV%) in his last outing, a 6-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Blue Jackets have been outscored 10-4 in their past two games (0-1-1) and will turn to Merzlikins to tend the twine on Friday against the Colorado Avalanche. Merzlikins has lost three straight, including a forgettable performance in his last outing, allowing six goals on 27 shots (.778 SV%) in a 6-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets. The Blue Jackets enter action as enormous +329 road underdogs.
