Kuznetsov (personal) will be away from the team for an indefinite period to receive care from the Players Assistance Program.

Kuznetsov was absent from the Capitals' team practice Monday due to personal reasons and has announced that he will be away from the team for an indefinite period to receive care from the Players Assistance Program. The 31-year-old center has struggled offensively in 2023-24 as he is on pace for career lows in almost all categories after only collecting six goals, 17 points and 69 SOG in 43 games played before he stepped away.

Evgeny Kuznetsov
Arvidsson (back) is expected to rejoin the Kings' for practice on Thursday and hoping to return for Los Angeles' first road trip after the break.

The veteran winger has not played a game yet this season after being placed on injured reserve in mid-October. After several down seasons, Arvidsson has refound his game as a Los Angeles King, scoring 108 points (46G / 62A) in 143 games over the previous two seasons. He will return to practice on Thursday and could make his return to the Kings' lineup over the next few weeks.

Viktor Arvidsson
Miromanov has been returned to Vegas after his condition loan with Henderson (AHL).

Miromanov spent last season split between Vegas and Henderson (AHL) but suffered an injury that has kept him sidelined so far this season. In a conditioning stint with Henderson, the 26-year-old was impressive, scoring six points (1G / 5A) in five games. Miromanov appeared in 14 games last season and picked up two goals, four assists, 22 SOG, two PIMs and a -6 plus/minus before his injury.

Daniil Miromanov
Rempal has been recalled from Henderson (AHL).

Rempal has been limited to only 16 career NHL games but has been a solid contributor at the AHL level, scoring 163 points in 166 games over the past three seasons. The undrafted 28-year-old played four games with the Golden Knights earlier this season and was held off the scoresheet.

Sheldon Rempal
Johnson (foot) appears on track to return Wednesday vs. Minnesota.

Johnson last played on December 31st and has been on injured reserve since, missing 14 games with a foot injury. The 33-year-old veteran has been one of many injured regulars for the Blackhawks this season but appears ready to return to the lineup on Wednesday. Johnson started the season well with nine goals, 13 points, 16 PIMsand 58 SOG in 35 games played before the injury.

Tyler Johnson
Parise will make his Avalanche debut on Monday vs. the Rangers.

Parise was most recently with the Islanders in 2022-23, when he tallied 21 goals and 13 assists (34 points) in 82 games. The 18-year veteran has 879 career points (429G / 450A) in 1224 regular season games with the Wild, Devils and Islanders. Parise is expected to slot in on a line with Artturi Lehkonen and Ryan Johansen.

Zach Parise
Pulock (lower body) is expected to return Monday in Toronto.

Pulock suffered a lower-body injury on December 7th and has been on long-term injured reserve since. After missing 24 games, Pulock will draw back into the lineup on Monday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has six points (2G / 4A), 37 hits, and 66 blocks in 25 games this season.

Ryan Pulock
Hughes (undisclosed) returned to New Jersey's practice Monday in a non-contact jersey and is considered day-to-day.

Hughes has not played since January 5th but has a chance to return to the lineup this week as he is considered day-to-day. Regardless, his presence at practice on Monday, albeit in a non-contact jersey, was an encouraging sign for the Devils. Hughes has been limited to only 32 games in an injury-plagued 2023-24 campaign but has 45 points (15G / 30A) in that span.

Jack Hughes
Sorokin will start Monday vs. Toronto.

Sorokin will return to the crease for the Islanders on Monday after serving as the backup to Semyon Varlamov in the Islanders' last two games before the All-Star break, both losing efforts. Sorokin has not played since January 23rd and has allowed three or more goals in four of his last five games (1-3-1) but has salvaged a respectable .911 SV% in the process. The Islanders defeated the Maple Leafs 4-3 three weeks ago but are +139 road underdogs on Monday night.

Ilya Sorokin
Georgiev is expected to start Monday in New York.

Georgiev will likely return to the crease for the fifth straight game on Monday night when the Avalanche face off against his former team, the New York Rangers. Georgiev is riding a three-game winning streak, saving 85 of 92 shots (.924 SV%) and has been stellar in limited action against his former team, posting a 1.38 GAA and .960 SV% in two contests (1-0-1). The Avalanche have won three straight but are slight -102 road underdogs on Monday.

Alexandar Georgiev
Montembeault will start Tuesday vs. Washington.

Montemeault will be the starter for the Canadiens in their first game since the All-Star break. After an abysmal performance in which he allowed eight goals on 30 shots (.733 SV%) in a 9-4 loss to the Boston Bruins, Montembeault responded by saving 43 of 46 (.935 SV%) in his last outing, a 4-3 victory over the New York Islanders. Montembeault will look to build on his last performance on Tuesday in a matchup against the third-worst offensive team in the league, the Washington Capitals (2.38 GF / GP).

Sam Montembeault
Newhook (ankle) will not play Tuesday but is traveling with the Canadiens on their road trip.

Newhook has been out of the lineup since November 30th with an ankle injury but is nearing a return to the Canadiens lineup. The 23-year-old Newhook was playing well before his injury, scoring 13 points (7G / 6A) in 23 games, and could be in for an increase in offensive deployment after the departure of Sean Monahan.

Alex Newhook
Jeannot (upper body) was in a normal practice jersey for the first time at Tampa Bay's practice Monday.

Jeannot has not played since January 6th, missing nine games with an upper-body injury, but returned to practice on Monday. The 26-year-old Jeannot had been held off the scoresheet in eight straight games while recording only seven shots on goal before his injury.

Tanner Jeannot
Sergachev (foot) was on the ice in a regular-coloured jersey Monday.

Sergachev has not played since December 19th and will miss at least six more games. After being placed on long-term injured reserve, the earliest Sergachev can return to the lineup is on February 7th, which appears likely after he practised with the second powerplay unit at practice on Monday. Sergachev had 19 points (2G / 17A) in 33 games before his injury.
