NHL Hockey Player News

Hill is expected to start Tuesday vs. the Islanders.

Hill is expected to make his return to the crease after a prolonged absence from an undisclosed injury dating back to November 30th. Hill returned to the lineup on December 17th but could not complete the first period before exiting the game with an injury. Before his injury, the 27-year-old Stanley Cup Champion was enjoying a Vezina-worthy start to the season, as he had a 10-2-2 record, 1.93 GAA and .933 SV%.

Adin Hill
Logan Thompson will start Monday in New Jersey.

Adin Hill is nearing his return and could play tomorrow tonight on the back end of a back-to-back, but the Golden Knights will ride with Thompson on Monday against the New Jersey Devils. The Golden Knights are +107 road underdogs against a Devils team that has lost three of their last four (1-3-0) and is coming off a disappointing 6-2 loss to the Dallas Stars. Thompson has won three straight contests, allowing two or fewer goals in each, posting a stellar .956 SV%.

Logan Thompson
Markstrom (lower body) was a full participant in practice Monday.

Markstrom has battled a lower-body injury that has kept him out of the lineup for the last three games but appears to be nearing his return. The 33-year-old netminder is riding a three-game winning streak, saving 93 of 99 shots (.939 SV%) in the process. His next opportunity to play will be on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues.

Jacob Markstrom
Parssinen will be a healthy scratch Monday vs. Florida.

Parssinen will join Cody Glass as a healthy scratch on Monday as the Predators will welcome Philip Tomasino and Michael McCarron back into the lineup. Parssinen was riding a three-game point streak with three points (2G / 1A) before being held without a point in three straight.

Juuso Parssinen
Glass will be a healthy scratch Monday vs. Florida.

Glass will join Juuso Parssinen as a healthy scratch on Monday as the Predators will welcome Philip Tomasino and Michael McCarron back into the lineup. Glass has been held without a point in five straight games while recording a -5 plus/minus.

Cody Glass
Vilardi (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision Monday in Boston.

After being unavailable for Sunday's practice, Vilardi participated in the Jets' morning skate on Monday and will be a game-time decision ahead of their game against the Boston Bruins. Vilardi has three goals and has fired 15 shots on goal in his last five games.

Gabriel Vilardi
Hughes (upper body) is not expected to skate before the All-Star break.

Hughes has already missed 10 games this season, seven with his current ailment, and although he still has a week-to-week prognosis, he appears to be making progress toward returning. The Devils have struggled, going 2-5 with Hughes out of the lineup.

Jack Hughes
Skinner (upper body) is expected to travel with the Sabres' one their upcoming road trip.

Skinner has not played since January 9th, missing the last five games, but will likely return to the lineup during the Sabres' upcoming road trip. On Monday, he was a full participant in practice, including partaking in drills with the top powerplay unit. Before his injury, Skinner was riding a hot streak with eight points (3G / 5A) in his last five games.

Jeff Skinner
Allen will start Tuesday vs. Ottawa.

Allen has watched from the sidelines as the Canadiens have been outscored 15-6 in their last two games (0-2-0), including a 6-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators. The Senators will turn to Allen in the crease on Tuesday in a rematch against the Senators as he looks to build on a stellar showing in his last performance, a 32-save (.914 SV%) showing in a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche.

Jake Allen
Edmonton has officially signed Corey Perry to a one-year, $775,000 AAV contract.

Perry hasn't played in the NHL since his contract was terminated by the Chicago Blackhawks in late November. In a statement released by the Blackhawks, the team stated Perry engaged in "unacceptable conduct" that violated his contract and team standards. Prior to having his contract terminated, Perry was amid a somewhat resurgent start to the season, scoring nine points (4G / 5A) in 16 games. It is speculated Perry could be ready to play for the Oilers as early as later this week.

Corey Perry
Hellebuyck will start Monday vs. Boston.

After suffering his first loss in five games, Hellebucyk has bounced back, winning two straight and saving 69 of 72 shots (.958 SV). Hellebuyck has undoubtedly been the best goalie in the NHL over the last two months, allowing more than two goals only once in 21 games (16-3-2) while posting an absurd .944 SV%. Hellebucyk and the Jets will be thoroughly tested on Monday as +118 road underdogs against an Atlantic Division-leading Boston Bruins club riding a four-game winning streak.

Connor Hellebuyck
Soucy (hand) is expected to be out Monday vs. Chicago and could be on the shelf for 5-6 weeks.

Soucy exited Saturday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs with a hand injury after playing only 13:40 time-on-ice. A steadying presence on the blue line, Soucy has been limited to only 21 games this season, due to an earlier lower-body injury, and could be sidelined for another 5-6 weeks with his current ailment. The 29-year-old has six points (2G / 4A), 21 hits, and 39 blocks this season.

Carson Soucy
Rittich will start Monday vs. San Jose.

Rittich has earned himself a third straight start, and fourth in the last five games, in a favourable matchup against the San Jose Sharks on Monday. Rittich has been a bright spot during a poor stretch for the Kings, going 3-1-1 with a .937 SV% and being responsible for the Kings' only three victories in the last 14 games (3-7-4). Despite their poor play lately, the Kings are sizeable -387 home favourites against a Sharks club that is 2-7-1 in their last 10.

David Rittich
Miller (illness) will be out Monday vs. Vegas.

Miller completed Saturday's game against the Dallas Stars, tallying three shots, two hits, and a -2 plus/minus in 17:30 time-on-ice, but will be unable to play on Monday due to an illness. Miller had played nine straight games for the Devils, scoring four points (2G / 2A) in the process.
