The Devils recalled Santeri Hatakka from Utica (AHL).

Hatakka was returned to Utica (AHL) for the All-Star break to get a few games under his belt but was returned to New Jersey on Monday and is expected to rejoin the team. The 23-year-old defenseman was a part of the Timo Meier deal on February 26th, 2023, and made his Devils' debut on January 22nd, 2024. He ahs an assist and a +5 plus/minus in three games thus far this season.

Kampf (undisclosed) is getting an MRI and will be out Monday vs. New York.

Kampf surprised a few people Sunday when he was not at practice due to an undisclosed injury and will be out Monday vs. New York as he gets an MRI to further determine the extent of his injury. The bottom-six forward has one assist in his last 10 games played and is having a down season by his standards with just four goals, eight points and a -9 plus/minus in 46 games prior to the injury.

Samsonov will be the Maple Leafs goaltender on Monday night in their first game after the All-Star break. The 26-year-old Samsonov has been tremendous while starting the last three games, allowing two or fewer goals in each, posting a .960 SV% while riding a season-best three-game winning streak. The Maple Leafs are -155 home favourites against a New York Islanders club that has lost three straight but defeated the Maple Leafs 4-3 on January 11th.

Pittsburgh has signed Jesse Puljujarvi to a two-year contract that carries an AAV of $800,000.

Puljujarvi was signed to a two-year, $1.6 million ($800,000 AAV) contract Sunday and will be a game-time decision Tuesday to make his season debut vs. Winnipeg. The 25-year-old had been playing on a PTO for Pittsburgh's AHL team after undergoing a double hip surgery in the off-season and excelled in his brief appearances as he had four goals and nine points in 13 total games played.
