Daccord led the Kraken onto the ice for warmups.

Daccord stopped 32 of 34 shots in the Kraken's win over the Blackhawks on Wednesday. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Daccord, who will make his 32nd appearance of the season on Friday. Kaliyev will draw into the Kings lineup on Friday.

Quinton Byfield will not play Friday in Colorado, so Kaliyev will play for the first time since January 18th. Kaliyev was a healthy scratch for the last three games but comes back into the lineup with six goals and eight assists (14 points) in 36 games this season.

Arthur Kaliyev
Talbot led the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Talbot will likely start his second straight game after serving as the backup in the previous three. Talbot has failed to win a game since December, losing nine straight (0-6-3), posting an ugly .887 SV%. The Kings' only two wins in the last month have been with David Rittich between the pipes. As such, Talbot and the Kings are +123 road underdogs against a Colorado Avalanche squad riding a two-game winning streak.

Cam Talbot
The Avalanche have signed Zach Parise to a one-year contract though the reminder of the 2023-24 season.

Parise was most recently with the Islanders in 2022-23, when he tallied 21 goals and 13 assists (34 points) in 82 games. The 18-year veteran has 879 career points (429G / 450A) in 1224 regular season games with the Wild, Devils and Islanders. Parise could be a replacement for Valeri Nichushkin, who is in the NHL's Player Assistance Program and is out indefinitely.

Zach Parise
Gallagher has been suspended five games for an illegal check to the head of Adam Pelech.

Gallagher was handed a match penalty for an illegal check to the head of New York's Adama Pelech and was suspended for five games Friday after having an over the phone hearing. The 31-year-old's frustration boiled over as he is in the midst of another disappointing season with only eight goals, eight assists 103 SOG, 47 PIMs and a -21 plus/minus in 48 games played this season.

Brendan Gallagher
Kirkland has been recalled from Tucson (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Kirkland has been recalled for a second time this season after scoring two goals, 14 assists, and eight PIMs in 18 games played with Tucson (AHL). The 27-year-old returns to the Coyotes, where he appeared in two games this season but didn't put up any counting stats while only averaging 7:13 TOI.

Justin Kirkland
Poehling has signed a two-year, $3.8 million contract extension ($1,900,000).

The Flyers completed their second signing of the day Friday as they extended 25-year-old centre Ryan Poehling for two-years, and $3.8 million ($1,900,000 AAV). The fourth year pro is having a career year in his first season in Philadelphia with five goals, nine assists, 55 SOG, six PIMs and a -8 plus/minus through 44 games played.

Ryan Poehling
Nashville has signed Kevin Gravel to a two-year, two-way contract worth $775,000.

Gravel's deal will kick in starting in 2024-25 but he has signed a two-year, two-way contract to stay with the Nashville Predators on Friday. The 31-year-old defensemen has spent the entire 2023-24 season with Milwaukee (AHL) and has a goal and five assists in 36 games played.

Kevin Gravel
Emberson (upper body) will return to the Sharks' lineup Saturday vs. Buffalo.

Emberson has been out since January 9th due to an upper-body injury but will return Saturday as San Jose takes on Buffalo in an afternoon matinee. The 23-year-old rookie defensemen has been one of the Sharks' best defenders this season, with his one goal, six assists, 22 SOG, two PIMs and -2 plus/minus in 21 games played this season prior to his injury.

Ty Emberson
Kahkonen will start Saturday vs. Buffalo.

The Sharks' goaltending revolving door will continue Saturday as Kaapo Kahkonen will get the start vs. Buffalo after backing up in San Jose's previous game. The 27-year-old has played very well despite the roster in front of him, which has led to an unfortunate 6-13-1 record, 3.56 GAA and .902 SV%. He'll take on the Sabres at home Saturday, who just snapped a two-game losing streak with a victory over Los Angeles last game and are 23rd in the NHL in goals per game (2.94).

Kaapo Kahkonen
Thrun (shoulder) is out Saturday and is likely done until after the All-Star break.

Thrun was caught earlier in the week with a wrap around his shoulder and will be out Saturday as San Jose takes on Buffalo. The 22-year-old rookie defender has had his fair share of growing pains in his first season, with a goal, two assists, 28 SOG, four PIMs and a -7 plus/minus in 23 games played.

Henry Thrun
Mukhamadullin will make his NHL debut Saturday vs. Buffalo.

Mukhamadullin was a key piece in the trade that sent Timo Meier to New Jersey and will make his NHL debut Saturday vs. Buffalo. The 22-year-old Russian defensemen was the 20th overall pick in the 2020 NHL draft and has excelled with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) this season, with 26 points (5G/21A) in 39 games played.

Shakir Mukhamadullin
Binnington will start Friday in Seattle.

Binnington will return to the crease for the Blues as they search for their fourth straight win on Friday night against the Seattle Kraken. The 30-year-old Binnington has played exceptionally lately, allowing three or fewer goals in six of his last eight games (5-2-1), posting a stellar .928 SV%. That said, the Blues are +150 road underdogs against the Kraken, who were defeated 2-1 by the Blues in mid-October.

Jordan Binnington
Greer (anke) is expected to miss a considerable amount of time.

Greer suffered an ankle injury in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, exiting the game after playing only 5:34 time-on-ice. Greer has 10 points (6G / 4A) in 47 games this season while most recently playing on a line with Cole Schwindt and Adam Klapka.

A.J. Greer
Chytil (concussion) has suffered a setback directly related to his previous injury at practice Friday after attempting to return.

Chytil has been limited to 10 games this season, last playing on November 2nd when he exited the game with a concussion. Before his injury, Chytil was playing almost exclusively on a line with Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafreniere. His most recent setback is devasting news as he was seemingly making progress towards a return.
