Samsonov will start Sunday vs. Seattle.

Samsonov has only started one contest since December 29th but will take the crease Sunday vs. Seattle as Toronto is on the back end of a back-to-back. The 26-year-old has had his struggles well documented this season and will be looking to post a +.900 SV% for the first time in six starts. He holds an ugly 5-3-6 record, 3.88 GAA and .863 SV% on the season. Toronto takes on Seattle on the road Sunday, who has lost three straight after their seven game winning streak was put to an end and are currently struggling offensively as they rank 27th in the NHL in goals per game (2.78).

Dostal will start Sunday vs. New York.

Dostal allowed five goals on 41 shots in the Ducks’ loss in Tampa last Saturday. John Gibson has started the last three games but Dostal will make his 18th appearance tonight vs. the Rangers. Dostal has played much better in Anaheim this season, posting a 2.99 GAA and .918 SV% in seven games, however it’s led to just two wins.

Wedgewood will start Sunday vs. New York.

Wedgewood started Saturday and won after stopping 29 of 31 shots against (.935 SV%) and will surprisingly retake the Stars' crease Sunday for a second straight start. Tonight he will take on an Islanders team that has lost four in a row and eight of their last 10, but have a new head coach, after hiring Patrick Roy on Saturday.

Lyon will start Sunday vs. Tampa Bay.

Lyon allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Red Wings' loss in Carolina on Friday. Lyon has been outstanding for the Red Wings' this season, particularly in 2024, where he is 5-1-1 with a .923 SV% since January 2nd. Tonight, he will face a Lightning team that is on a five-game winning streak and has averaged 4.4 goals per game during that stretch.

Vasilevskiy will start Sunday in Detroit.

Vasilevskiy allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Lightning’s win over the Wild on Thursday. Vasilevskiy has now won four straight starts, posting a .914 SV% in the process. Tonight he will face the Red Wings in Detroit, Vasilevskiy has had a tough time on the road so far this season, going 5-6-0 with a 3.38 GAA and .885 SV%.

Shesterkin will start Sunday in Anaheim.

Shesterkin surrendered four goals on 25 shots in the Rangers loosen Vegas on Thursday. The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Shesterkin, who has allowed four-plus goals in four of his last six starts. In total, he’s 3-4-0 with a 3.33 GAA and .869 SV% in seven starts in January but draws a friendly matchup on Sunday vs. the Ducks. Anaheim has lost nine of their last 11 games while being outscored 3.8-to-2.1 on average.
