Oettinger will start against the Kings on Tuesday.

Oettinger struggled in his first game back from a four-week absence with a lower-body injury, allowing four goals on 36 shots in a 6-3 loss to the Nashville Predators, but was much better the following night, entering the game in relief of an injured Scott Wedgewood, saving 20 of 21 shots in a 3-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks. The Stars are -129 home favourites against a Los Angeles Kings team that ended an eight-game losing streak last night with a 5-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes and historically fared well against Oettinger, getting the better end of the score in two of three contests.

Jake Oettinger
Talbot will start in Dallas on Tuesday.

The Kings snapped a season-worst eight-game losing streak yesterday courtesy of a strong performance from David Rittich in a 5-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes and will return to starting goalie Cam Talbot on the back end of a back-to-back. Talbot has allowed three or more goals in five of his last seven games (0-4-3), posting a pedestrian .899 SV%. The Kings are +117 road underdogs on Tuesday against the Dallas Stars, who have won three of their last four contests (3-1-0).

Cam Talbot
Hellebuyck will start against the Islanders on Tuesday.

Hellebuyck was between the pipes in the Jets last game, a 2-0 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, ending their season-best eight-game winning streak. Despite the loss, Hellebucyk, as per usual, was terrific, saving 34 of 36 shots (.944 SV%), continuing his tremendous season, and extending his 19-game stretch (14-3-2) where he has allowed fewer than three goals in all but one contest. The Jets will welcome back Kyle Connor on Tuesday and are -193 home favourites against a New York Islanders team that was defeated 5-0 by the Minnesota Wild last night.

Connor Hellebuyck
Sorokin will start in Winnipeg on Tuesday.

Sorokin will get the nod again on Tuesday after being pulled in Tuesday's loss to the Wild, marking the first time this season that the Islanders' starting netminder will start both ends of a back-to-back. Sorokin wasn't particularly poor on Monday, allowing three goals on 32 shots through two periods, as the move to pull him was likely done with more of an eye on tonight's game in Winnipeg as the Islanders were trailing the Wild by three goals heading into the third. Sorokin owns a 13-10-8 record on the season to go along with a .909 SV% and a 3.18 GAA.

Ilya Sorokin
Wood (illness) will return to the Avalanche lineup on Tuesday.

Wood will make his first appearance since January 4th after missing Colorado's last five games as he battled the flu. Wood was very effective in a top-six role in his last outing, scoring one point (0G / 1A) and firing three shots on goal in 15:31 time-on-ice.

Miles Wood
Georgiev will be a healthy scratch for Tuesday's game in Ottawa.

Georgiev will get the night off completely on Tuesday as Ivan Prosvetov will back up Justus Annunen. Georgiev was disappointing in Monday's game against the Habs, allowing four goals on 34 shots enroute to a 4-3 defeat.

Alexandar Georgiev
Shesterkin will start against the Kraken on Tuesday.

After allowing nine goals in two games (0-2-0) and posting an abysmal .795 SV%, Shesterkin responded with a strong effort in his last outing, saving 24 of 25 shots (.960 SV%) in a 2-1 win over the Washington Capitals. Shesterkin has been inconsistent this season, allowing four or more goals 10 times through 27 games, compared to only seven times through 53 games when he won the Vezina trophy two seasons ago. The Rangers are sizeable -203 home favourites on Tuesday against a Seattle Kraken club that played last night and lost 3-0 to the Pittsburgh Penguins, ending their nine-game winning streak.

Igor Shesterkin
Driedger will start in New York on Tuesday.

Seattle was shut out 3-0 last night against the Pittsburgh Penguins, ending their franchise-best nine-game winning streak. On the back end of a back-to-back, Seattle will turn to Driedger between the pipes for his second start this season. Driedger was terrific in a December 27th, 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames, saving 37 of 38 shots (.974 SV%) in his first NHL game in nearly two years. On Tuesday, Seattle is a sizeable +187 road underdog against a rested New York Rangers team that has struggled lately, losing four of their last five (1-3-1).

Chris Driedger
Annunen will start in Ottawa on Tuesday.

Annunen will make his first start of the season on Tuesday as the Avalanche prepare to play their second game in as many nights. Annunen has struggled in his four NHL appearances to date, though he has managed to post a 2-1-1 record despite an .859 SV% and a 3.92 GAA. He owns a 9-5-4 record and a .908 SV% in 18 games this season with the Colorado Eagles (AHL). He'll take on the Senators and Mads Sogaard, who is also making his season debut in goal on Tuesday.

Justus Annunen
