Kahkonen will start Monday in Buffalo.

Kahkonen hasn't played since allowing four goals on 20 shots (.800 SV%) in a 7-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs last week, his only start in the last five for the Sharks. He will return to the crease on Monday afternoon as the Sharks are +228 road underdogs against a Buffalo Sabres team that was shutout 1-0 against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.

Kaapo Kahkonen
Kane left Sunday's game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Kane exited Sunday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs early in the first period, playing only 1:07 time-on-ice, with a lower-body injury. A medical update hasn't been provided yet, but following the game, Red Wings' head coach Derek Lalonde stated that he believed the injury was not related to his hip, which he had surgery on in the offseason. Kane has been a major contributor in the Red Wings offence, scoring 16 points (7G / 9A) and tallying 63 shots in 19 games.

Patrick Kane
Beniers left Saturday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Beniers played 11:04 TOI before leaving Saturday's win in Columbus with an upper-body injury. Head coach Dave Hakstol did not have an update on Beniers' status post-game, so consider him questionable to play Monday in Pittsburgh.

Matty Beniers
Eichel (undisclosed) has been placed on injured reserve.

Eichel missed Saturday's game against the Flames due to the undisclosed injury and has now been placed on injured reserve. Eichel's absence leaves a major void in the Golden Knights' attack, as he's racked up 19 goals and 25 assists in 42 games this season. Eichel's move to the injured reserve means he'll be sidelined until next Saturday's game against the Penguins, at the earliest.

Jack Eichel
Stephenson missed Sunday's practice with an illness and is questionable for Monday's game against the Predators.

The Golden Knights recalled 2020 first-round pick Brendan Brisson earlier in the day, so he could potentially slide into the lineup for his NHL debut if Stephenson is unable to go on Monday. Stephenson has seven goals and 13 assists in 39 games this season.

Chandler Stephenson
Kuraly (abdominal) has been activated off injured reserve and will return to the Blue Jackets' lineup for Monday's game against the Canucks.

Kuraly will make his first appearance since exiting December 23rd's game against the Maple Leafs with an abdominal injury. He has six goals and five assists in 35 games this season.
