Saville will serve as Vegas' backup for Thursday night's game in Boston.

After being recalled from Henderson (AHL) earlier today, Saville will back-up Logan Thompson on Thursday. Jiri Patera will take the night off after starting last night's game in Colorado. Saville has a .914 SV% and a 4-3-1 record with the Henderson Silver Knights this season.

Isaiah Saville
Thompson will start against the Bruins on Thursday.

Thompson is good to go and will return for Thursday's game against the Bruins after missing Wednesday's trip to Colorado due to an illness. Thompson was solid in Saturday's 5-2 victory over the Islanders, stopping 28 of the 30 shots he faced. He owns a 12-8-3 record on the season to go along with a .903 SV% and a 2.83 GAA. His days as the starting netminder for the Golden Knights could be numbered as Adin Hill nears a return from his undisclosed injury. Thompson will have plenty of work to do on Thursday as Vegas welcomes David Pastrnak and the Boston Bruins to town.

Logan Thompson
Gibson left Thursday's game in Carolina due to an upper-body injury and will not return.

Gibson presumably suffered the injury at some point in the second period. He finished the second frame but did not make it out for the start of the third. Lukas Dostal will play out the remainder of the game. We should expect to receive an update on Gibson's injury and a possible timeline for his return following the completion of Thursday's game.

John Gibson
Scheifele left Thursday's game against the Blackhawks with a lower-body injury and will not return.

Scheifele exited the game with a non-contact injury early in the second period of Thursday's game and will not return. His absence will leave a serious void in a Jets' top-six that is already missing Kyle Connor. We should expect to receive an update on Scheifele's injury and a possible timeline for his return following the completion of Thursday's game.

Mark Scheifele
The Lightning announced Cernak will not return to Thursday's game against the Devils due to an upper-body injury.

Cernak suffered the injury after taking a hit from Nathan Bastian late in the first period. We should expect to receive an update on the injury and a possible timeline for Cernak's return following the completion of Thursday's game.

Erik Cernak
Kochetkov was forced to leave Thursday's game against the Ducks with an undisclosed injury.

Kochetkov suffered the injury late in the second period and had to be helped off the ice. He was replaced by Antti Raanta. We should expect to receive an update on Kochetkov's injury and a possible timeline for his return to the crease following the completion of Thursday's game.

Pyotr Kochetkov
Zibanejad is a late scratch for Thursday's game in St. Louis due to an undisclosed injury.

Zibanejad was expected to play on Thursday after missing the last two practices due to an illness, but the Rangers' superstar left warmups before line rushes took place and was announced as a scratch less than five minutes before puck drop. Zac Jones will draw into the lineup in place of Zibanejad as New York will now opt to dress seven defensemen.

Mika Zibanejad
Jonsson-Fjallby (illness) is on the ice for warmups and is expected to play against the Blackhawks on Thursday.

Jonsson-Fjallby has played 13 straight games for the Jets and will remain in the lineup after being a game-time decision on Thursday. The 25-year-old has zero points in his last five games while averaging less than 10 minutes per night on a line with Dominic Toninato and Morgan Barron.

Axel Jonsson-Fjallby
The Golden Knights reassigned Denisenko to Henderson (AHL) on Thursday.

Denisenko was apart of a flurry of roster moves Vegas made on Thursday as the team prepares to host the Bruins on the tail-end of a back-to-back. Denisenko is yet to register a point in three games with the Golden Knights this season.

Grigori Denisenko
Gregor (illness) is back in the lineup for Thursday's game on Long Island.

Gregor will return to Toronto's lineup on Thursday after missing Tuesday's game against the Sharks due to an illness. He has five goals and two assists in 37 games with the Maple Leafs this season, playing predominantly on the team's fourth line.

Noah Gregor
Montembeault will start against the Sharks on Thursday.

Montembeault will be back between the pipes on Thursday as the Canadiens host the Sharks after Cayden Primeau got the nod on Wednesday in Philadelphia. Montembeault was excellent in his last start, surrendering just three goals on 48 shots as the Canadiens edged the Rangers in a 4-3 shootout victory on Saturday. The performance raised his SV% to .906 on the season to go along with his 9-5-3 record. He's got a great chance of staying in the win column on Thursday with the Habs being -165 favourites over the Sharks.

Sam Montembeault
Ovechkin (maintenance) is on the ice for warmups and is expected to play against the Kraken on Thursday.

Despite an overall disappointing season for the future Hall-of-Famer, Ovechkin is riding a five-game point streak, scoring six points (2G / 4A) in that span. The 38-year-old was a game-time decision for the Capitals on Thursday as they look to maintain his workload.
