Metsa is expected to be a healthy scratch vs. Boston on Wednesday.

With Conor Timmins (lower body) returning from a prolonged absence, Metsa will be the odd man out of the lineup as a healthy scratch. The 27-year-old Metsa has been effective in his first NHL season as a bottom-pair defenseman, recording six points (2G / 4A) and a +20 plus/minus in 38 games.

Zach Metsa
Fisker-Molgaard has been recalled from Coachella Valley (AHL).

Fisker-Molgaard made his NHL debut earlier this season, scoring one assist in three games, and has been recalled by a Seattle team desperate for an offensive uptick. The 21-year-old second-round pick from the 2023 NHL Entry Draft has 32 points (10G / 22A) in 46 games this season with the Coachella Valley Firebirds (AHL).

Oscar Fisker-Molgaard
Timmins (lower-body) is available to return vs. Boston on Wednesday.

Timmins has not played since mid December after suffering a broken leg, but has been cleared to return. The 27-year-old defenseman was averaging 19:14 time-on-ice and had six assists in 33 games before his injury. Zach Metsa will be a healthy scratch to accommodate Timmins' return.

Conor Timmins
Hildeby has been reassigned to the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

The Maple Leafs recalled Hildeby from the Marlies (AHL) earlier this week for precautionary reasons, but Anthony Stolarz (upper body) did not end up missing any time, resulting in Hildeby's return to the AHL. The 24-year-old Hildeby was solid in a stint with the Maple Leafs earlier this season, posting a 2.84 GAA and .912 SV% in 19 appearances (5-6-4).

Dennis Hildeby
DeAngelo left Wednesday's game vs. Chicago with a lower-body injury and did not return.

DeAngelo exited Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks after only six shifts due to a lower-body injury. Adam Boqvist stepped up DeAngelo's absence and filled in on the Islanders' second powerplay unit. The 30-year-old DeAngelo has 33 points (5G / 28A) in 72 games this season.

Tony DeAngelo
Luukkonen is in the starter's crease at Buffalo's morning skate.

Luukkonen was tremendous in his previous outing, saving 26 of 27 shots (.963 SV%) in a 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings, and has been consistently reliable for weeks. The 27-year-old Finnish goalie has allowed two or fewer goals in nine of his last 10 appearances (7-2-0), posting a solid 2.19 GAA and .925 SV%. The only game he allowed more than two was a forgettable outing in which he allowed seven goals on 28 shots (.750 SV%), but he still salvaged an 8-7 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Sabres enter Wednesday's contest as -193 home favourites against a Boston Bruins team that played last night and lost 4-2 to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
Samuelsson (illness) will be a game-time decision vs. Boston on Wednesday.

Samuelsson was absent from practice on Tuesday and it is unclear what his status is heading into Wednesday's game against the Boston Bruins. The 26-year-old Samuelsson is having a terrific season, playing primarily alongside Rasmus Dahlin, tallying 39 points (12G / 27A) through 68 games.

Mattias Samuelsson
Harkins left Tuesday's game vs. Vancouver with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Harkins exiting Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks in the first period after only three shifts due to an upper-body injury. The 28-year-old bottom-six forward has eight points (3G / 5A) in 44 games this season.

Jansen Harkins
Roy (upper-body) is expected to be out for "a little while".

Roy has been effective in a bottom six role since being acquired by Colorado, but he is set to be out of the lineup indefinitely. The 28-year-old had five goals in 59 games with Toronto, but already scored three in nine games with Colorado.

Nicolas Roy
Vejmelka will start against the Oilers on Tuesday.

Vejmelka let in a weak goal in the third period of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Kings to send the game to overtime, but recovered and salvaged a 4-3 victory, saving 33 of 36 shots (.917 SV%). The 29-year-old Vejmelka is riding a two-game winning streak, boasting an impressive 1.47 GAA and .953 SV%. He will look to continue his stellar play on Tuesday, with Utah entering the action as -125 home favourites against an Edmonton Oilers team that has been outscored 9-2 in their last two games (0-2-0).

Karel Vejmelka
Kempe (lower-body) took full part in warmups and is expected to play in Calgary on Tuesday.

Kempe has been battling a lower-body issue that has made him a game-time decision on most nights over the past week. The 29-year-old Swedish forward only has one assist in his last three outings, but is a point-per-game player since Artemi Panarin joined the game, scoring 13 points (6G / 7A) in 13 games.

Adrian Kempe
Kuemper will start in Calgary on Tuesday.

The Kings have struggled lately, but are still within reach of a Wild Card spot, and will turn to Kuemper on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames. The 35-year-old Kuemper allowed four goals on 34 shots (.882 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 4-3 overtime loss to the Utah Mammoth. That said, he has helped his team collect a point in six of his last seven games (3-1-3), despite posting unspectacular numbers of 2.69 GAA and .894 SV%. The Kings enter Tuesday's contest as -137 road favourites against a Calgary Flames team on a three-game winning streak.

Darcy Kuemper
Allen will start in Dallas on Tuesday.

Allen has not played much since returning from the Olympic break, but has been serviceable when called upon, 2.40 GAA and .920 SV% in three games (2-1-0). He saved 26 of 27 shots in his most recent outings (.963 SV%), but came up short in a 2-1 loss to the Washington Capitals. The Devils enter Tuesday's contest as +145 road underdogs against a Dallas Stars team that has struggled offensively lately, scoring three or fewer goals in five consecutive games (2-2-1).

Jake Allen
Thompson will start in St. Louis on Tuesday.

Thompson allowed three goals on 24 shots (.875 SV%) in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Colorado Avalanche, but has been excellent in recent weeks and will return to the crease on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues. The 29-year-old Thompson has an impressive 2.10 GAA and .923 SV% in 10 games since the Olympic break (5-3-2). The Capitals enter Tuesday's contest as +100 road underdogs against the Blues.
