Andersen will start vs. Toronto on Thursday.

The Hurricanes saw success in their last two games (2-0-0), outscoring their opposition 6-1 with Brandon Bussi tending the twine, but they will turn to Andersen on Thursday against his former team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 36-year-old Andersen has struggled this season, allowing three or more goals in all but two of his 13 outings (5-6-2). That said, his best performance of the season was a 23-save outing (.958 SV%) in a 4-1 win against another one of his former teams, the Anaheim Ducks. The Hurricanes enter the action on Thursday as -209 home favorites.

Frederik Andersen
Kuemper is expected to start vs. Chicago on Thursday.

The Kings have been abysmal offensively lately, scoring only 15 goals (1.87 GF/GP) in their last eight games, but have salvaged a 3-3-2 record courtesy of serviceable defense and goaltending. Kuemper was solid in his most recent outing, a 22-save performance (.917 SV%), but again did not receive enough goal support in a 3-1 loss to the Washington Capitals. He likely returns to the crease on Thursday against the Chicago Blackhawks, looking to build on his 2.37 GAAA and .908 SV% through 18 games this season (8-5-5). The Kings enter Thursday's contest as -199 home favorites.

Darcy Kuemper
Demko (lower-body) is a possibility to return vs. Buffalo next Thursday.

Demko has not played since November 11th and was originally given a two-to-three-week recovery timeline. If he returns to action next Thursday, it will mark over four weeks, but it would still be encouraging considering Demko's injury history and the concerns that follow him. The 29-year-old Demko has a 2.80 GAA and .903 SV% in 10 games (5-4-0) and will likely be eased into action upon his return.

Thatcher Demko
Foegele (upper-body) will return vs. Chicago on Thursday.

Foegele has battled an undisclosed injury and did not play in the Kings' last two games, but will return to the lineup on Thursday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 29-year-old Foegele had a career-high 46 points (24G / 22A) in 82 games last season, but is off to a slow start in 2025-26 with only four points (4G / 0A) through 18 games.

Warren Foegele
Gustavsson will start in Calgary on Thursday.

Jesper Wallstedt has been outstanding for Minnesota, with four shutouts in his last six starts, but John Hynes and the coaching staff remain committed to a goalie rotation and will turn to Gustavsson on Thursday against the Calgary Flames. That said, Gustavsson has been no slouch himself, posting an elite 1.80 GAA and .939 SV% in his last four games (3-0-1). Minnesota has points in 12 straight games (10-0-2) and enters the action on Thursday as -115 road favorites against a Flames team they defeated 2-0 a few weeks ago.

Filip Gustavsson
Yurov (undisclosed) skated on Thursday but will not return vs. Calgary.

Yurov is battling an undisclosed injury and will miss a second consecutive game on Thursday when Minnesota faces the Calgary Flames. The 21-year-old rookie, a first-round pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, has seen prime deployment lately playing on a line with Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello. He has seven points (3G / 4A) in 21 games this season.

Danila Yurov
Doughty (lower-body) will return vs. Chicago on Thursday.

Doughty was listed week-to-week after suffering a lower-body injury on November 15th, but will make a surprising return to the lineup on Thursday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 35-year-old Doughty has eight points (2G / 6A) through 19 games this season, respectable totals given that the Kings' have mostly been rolling a five-forward top powerplay unit.

Drew Doughty
Knight is in the starter's crease at Chicago's morning skate.

The Blackhawks have followed up a five-game losing skid (0-4-1) by collecting points in two straight (1-0-1), and will likely roll with Knight between the pipes on Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings. The 24-year-old Knight has been a bright spot for the Blackhawks this season, boasting a solid 2.52 GAA and .917 SV% in 18 games (8-5-5), but has battled through adversity lately, recording a sub- .900 SV% in five of his last seven outings (2-2-3). The Blackhawks enter the action on Thursday as +179 road underdogs against a Kings team that has scored fewer than two goals in five of its last eight games (3-3-2).

Spencer Knight
Wedgewood (upper-body) will remain out vs. New York on Thursday but is considered day-to-day.

Wedgewood is not expected to be out long-term, but will not play on Thursday against the New York Islanders. The Avalanche recalled Trent Miner to serve as Mackenzie Blackwood's backup on Thursday, and he could draw into a game during a back-to-back this weekend if Wedgewood remains sidelined.

Scott Wedgewood
Wedgewood will start on Long Island on Thursday.

Colorado has been alternating goalies in recent weeks, but with Scott Wedgewood (lower body) sidelined, Blackwood's return to the crease on Thursday was seemingly inevitable. The 28-year-old Blackwood has been outstanding lately, posting a 0.50 GAA, .979 SV%, and two shutouts in his last four appearances (4-0-0). He has a 1.84 GAA and .930 SV% in seven games this season (6-0-1). Colorado enters Thursday's contest as -180 road favorites against a New York Islanders team coming off an impressive 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
