Samuelsson was absent from practice on Tuesday and was a game-time decision heading into Wednesday's game against the Boston Bruins. The 26-year-old Samuelsson is having a terrific season, playing primarily alongside Rasmus Dahlin, tallying 39 points (12G / 27A) through 68 games.

Woll will start against the Rangers on Wednesday.

Joseph Woll will be between the pipes for the Maple Leafs tonight after Anthony Stolarz got the call in the front-end of their back-to-back on Tuesday. Woll was peppered with 44 shots on goal in his last start, allowing five goals in a 5-2 loss in Ottawa on Saturday. The 27-year-old netminder owns an underwhelming 14-3-6 record on the season despite posting a respectable .904 SV%. Woll and the Maple Leafs enter action on Wednesday at +105 on the money line.

Shesterkin will start in Toronto on Wednesday.

Shesterkin was excellent in New York's previous outing, saving 31 of 33 shots (.939 SV%), but received very little goal support in a game where his team only managed 10 shots on goal in a 2-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators. The 30-year-old Shesterkin has a serviceable 2.88 GAA and .912 SV% in nine games since returning from the Olympic break. The Rangers enter Wednesday's contest as -119 road favourites against a Toronto Maple Leafs team that played last night and won 4-2 over the Boston Bruins.

Luukkonen will start against the Bruins on Wednesday.

Luukkonen was tremendous in his previous outing, saving 26 of 27 shots (.963 SV%) in a 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings, and has been consistently reliable for weeks. The 27-year-old Finnish goalie has allowed two or fewer goals in nine of his last 10 appearances (7-2-0), posting a solid 2.19 GAA and .925 SV%. The only game he allowed more than two was a forgettable outing in which he allowed seven goals on 28 shots (.750 SV%), but he still salvaged an 8-7 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Sabres enter Wednesday's contest as -193 home favourites against a Boston Bruins team that played last night and lost 4-2 to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Korpisalo will start vs. Buffalo on Wednesday.

The Bruins are on the the tail-end of a back-to-back on Wednesday, so it will be back-up netminder Joonas Korpisalo who gets the nod in Buffalo. Korpisalo's last start came back on March 16th in New Jersey, when he allowed four goals on 34 sots in a 4-3 overtime loss. The 11-year-veteran carries an 11-9-4 record and an .891 SV% into Wednesday night's matchup, where the Bruins enter action at +175 on the money line.

Detroit has signed Jacob Bernard-Docker to a two-year extension worth $1.6 million AAV ($3.2M total).

The two-year extension means the Red Wings avoid letting Bernard-Docker hit restricted free agency this summer, and will instead keep him locked up through the 2027-28 season. Bernard-Docker has appeared in 55 games for the Red Wings this season, registering zero goals and four assists.

Jarnkrok will draw back into Toronto's lineup vs. New York on Wednesday.

Jarnkrok did not play in yesterday's 4-2 win over the Boston Bruins, but he will re-enter the lineup tonight against the New York Rangers. The 34-year-old Jarnkrok is averaging 11:28 time-on-ice and has eight points (6G / 2A) in 47 games this season.

Hedman (personal) will be out indefinitely as he takes a temporary leave of absence from the team.

Hedman has already missed 37 games this season due to various injuries and will be sidelined indefinitely as he takes time away from the team to attend to personal matters. The 35-year-old Swedish defenseman has seen his role with Tampa Bay lessen this season, averaging a career-low 18:52 time-on-ice. His point production has dipped as well, with only 17 points (1G / 16A) through 33 games, as Darren Raddysh has emerged as the team's top offensive defenseman.

But has been recalled from Tucson (AHL) on Wednesday.

But had a prolonged stint with Utah earlier this season, making his NHL debut and scoring seven points (3G / 4A) in 28 games. That said, the 21-year-old 12th overall pick from the 2023 NHL Entry Draft has spent most of the season in the AHL, where he has 33 points (16G / 17A) in 34 games with the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL).

Winnipeg has signed Lucas Wahlin to a one-year, entry-level contract.

Wahlin is an undrafted forward that just finished his fourth year of collegiate hockey. The 24-year-old was offered a one-year, entry-level contract by the Winnipeg Jets after scoring 39 points (21G / 18A) this season in 36 games with the University of St. Thomas.

Lundell is expected to miss anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks with an upper-body injury

Lundell has missed the past two games for Florida and is expected to miss another several weeks to due an upper-body injury. The 24-year-old Finnish forward has 44 pints (18G / 26A) in 64 games this season and is the latest in a string of lengthy injuries for the Panthers this season.

Thomas (undisclosed) missed practice on Wednesday.

Thomas was limited to only 14:08 time-on-ice in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Washington Capitals and was absent from practice on Wednesday. The 26-year-old Thomas is averaging 18:56 time-on-ice and has 46 points (16G / 30A) in 53 games this season. It's unclear what his status will be for Thursday's game against the San Jose Sharks.

Utah has signed Michael Hrabal to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Utah added to their goaltending depth on Wednesday, signing Hrabal to a three-year, entry-level contract. The 21-year-old Czech goalie, the 38th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, had an excellent 1.95 GAA and .937 SV% in 29 games (19-9-1) playing collegiate hockey this season with UMass-Amherst.

Mantha is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Mantha is having a tremendous season, but is battling a lower-body injury, making his status uncertain for Thursday's game against the Ottawa Senators. The 31-year-old Mantha has a career-high 53 points (26G / 27A) in 71 games this season. His previous career high was at age 24 with the Detroit Red Wings, when he scored 48 points (25G / 23A) in 67 games.
