Gionta missed Wednesday’s practice and was not on the ice for today’s morning skate which suggests he won’t play tonight vs. the Senators. With Gionta sidelined, Sam Reinhart appears to be moving up in to the Sabres’ top six.

Kings’ head coach Darryl Sutter called Muzzin “doubtful” on Monday, but on Tuesday he was upgraded to probable for Wednesday’s game vs. the Sharks. Monitor Muzzin’s status during the morning skate, but things are trending in the right direction.

King was injured in the Kings’ preseason finale and is expected to miss an extended period of time. King’s movement to IR allows the Kings to keep another player on the roster until King is healthy enough to return.

Robidas has been battling a knee and groin injury throughout the preseason so he was placed on IR to open up a roster spot for someone else. There is no timetable for his return.

Silfverberg did not practice on Tuesday, but did skate on his own. He has been cleared for practice and should be able to get into the season opener since the Ducks don’t play until Saturday. He is currently skating on a line with Ryan Kesler and Andrew Cogliano.

Dupuis has not played since November 15th of last year because of a blood clot in his lung. He has gotten over the blood clot, but will be out for at least another month with a lower-body injury. Dupuis injury allowed Daniel Sprong to crack the opening night roster.
