Belov has missed the last last 10 games with an oblique injury, but could return on Saturday if coach Eakins decides to insert him into the lineup. Belov's return gives the Oilers eight healthy defensemen.
NHL Hockey Player News
Robin Lehner will get his fourth straight start with Anderson sidelined. He will likely accompany the team to Tampa Bay and Florida and start one of those back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday.

Andersson said that he felt good after his first full practice since breaking his foot. He would not commit to how soon he would return, but said it will matter with how much pain he can deal with. He will not play tomorrow but monitor Andersson's status before Sunday's game vs. the WIld.

Helm confirmed that he would be in the lineup tomorrow afternoon, but Mike Babcock was less committal about Helm playing. Coach Babcock said that Helm will take pre-game warmups and then they will see how Helm feels before deciding if he plays. He would centre the fourth line with Cory Emmerton and Landon Ferraro on his wings with Teemu Pulkkinen taking a seat.

Mitchell, who suffered a back injury on Tuesday will likely miss his second straight game tonight when the Avs take on the Bruins. Colorado was expecting to have him back tonight, but it looks like Tuesday in Nashville is more likely.

After playing all 82 games in both seasons with the Rangers prior to coming to Montreal, Prust has missed 40 of the 130 (31%) of regular season games with the Habs in the last two seasons. He finished this season the 13 points (6G / 7A) in 52 games. The Canadiens have him signed through the next two seasons at $2.5 million per year, so they would like to start seeing some durability out of the big forward.

Bogosian was a late scratch prior to Wednesday's game, but is expected to play on Saturday. If he is on the ice tomorrow for the game-day skate, he should be in the lineup vs. the Hurricanes.

The Jets fully expected Byfuglien to be back for Saturday's contest vs. the Hurricanes, but his absence this morning suggests he might not be available. Monitor his status during tomorrow's morning skate. If he is on the ice, there is a good chance that he will play.

Pavelec was only supposed to miss 2-3 games, but after missing the last three games and not skating this morning, his status for Saturday's game is in question. Expect Al Montoya to make his fourth consecutive start.

Updating an earlier report. Today was the first time that Bernier has taken part in a full practice since suffering a groin strain. It was not believed that he would be able to play in this weekend's back-to-back set, but now he is looking more questionable that doubtful. His status will be determined on Saturday morning.

Ranger has a stiff neck, but no concussion concerns according to head coach Carlyle. That is great news for Ranger after a scary collision on Wednesday. He likely won't be in the lineup during this weekend's back-to-back set, but should not be out of the lineup for long.
Saad will miss his third straight game with an upper-body injury that he suffered on Sunday. With Patrick Kane out, Saad will likely see an expanded role when he returns to the lineup, but that will not be tonight. He remains day-to-day.

Coach Quenneville said that Bickell's injury is not serious and he should not miss an extended period of time. Consider him day-to-day. The Blackhawks will dress seven defensemen with Bickell, Brandon Saad and Patrick Kane all out.

There was no word as to when Visnovsky suffered the upper-body injury, but monitor his status prior to Sunday's game. He has three goals and eight assists (11 points) in 24 games.

Okposo left practice this morning after about 20 minutes and did not return. He is listed as day-to-day, which puts his status for Sunday's meeting with the Blue Jackets in jeopardy.

Bernier has missed the last three games with a groin strain that he suffered on March 13th. Just because he was back at practice, groin injuries, especially for goalies, require a lot of patience. The Leafs are in action on Saturday and Sunday, but don't expect to see Bernier between the pipes just yet. However, this is a great step for the Leafs' number-1.

This is the first time that Bolland has skated on a regular line at practice, a really good sign that he could be back in the lineup on Saturday. Bolland has been sidelined since November 2nd after severing his achilles tendon. Expect a full injury update after practice.

Kane's placement on LTIR means he has to miss the next 24 days of play which spans until the end of the regular season for the Hawks. If you are in a one-year format, Kane can be dropped. The Blackhawks are confident that Kane will be ready to go for game-1 of the playoffs. Teuvo Teravainen will join the Blackhawks today, could be a fill-in for the injured Kane.

Brown has missed the last two games with a combination of an illness and lower-body injury. Monitor his status during the pre-game warmups.

Beleskey will take a seat tonight and Emerson Etem, who was just recalled will likely slide into the lineup vs. the Sharks. He is listed as day-to-day.

NHL Injury Report FAQs
The NHL injury report is updated daily so that you can see the latest injury news ahead of puck drop in any of today’s matchups. Seeing timely updates to the NHL injury report can make a major impact on your daily fantasy sports picks and wagers on a particular game. All information provided on the NHL injury report is provided directly by the NHL and each respective franchise to ensure accuracy.
While the minimum amount of time spent on the injured reserve list is seven calendar days, there is no maximum amount of time that a player can be placed on the injured reserve list. If a player is set to be sidelined for longer than 24 calendar days or 10 NHL games, then a club may opt to place them on the long-term injured reserve instead. This allows franchises with the ability to exceed the salary cap while a player is placed on this reserve list.
No injury recovery timeline is the same as another as there are several factors that go into the rehab process for a player being affected by injury. Factors include but are not limited to, injury severity, player injury/medical history, age, as well as the location of the injury. Some injuries are able to clear up in a matter of days, while others may take an athlete out of action for the entirety of a season.
