Following the MRI the Predators will have a better idea of how long Rinne will remain out of the lineup. We should have a Rinne update and hopefully a timetable tomorrow.

Following the MRI the Predators will have a better idea of how long Rinne will remain out of the lineup. We should have a Rinne update and hopefully a timetable tomorrow.
Horton continues to progress towards a return from offseason shoulder surgery. He remains without a definitive timetable, but the one set at the start of the year was roughly late December or early January so it should not be too long before he makes his Blue Jackets debut.
Seguin is not available to the media due to the Stars concussion protocol, at this time there is no official update. Skating this morning is a good sign, as he works his way back in an attempt to be in the lineup tomorrow vs. Toronto. Monitor his status tomorrow morning.
Bachman has not played since November 2 when he was injured in a game vs. Detroit. He could return as the Oilers back-up should Ilya Bryzgalov be out long-term but even then he is not fantasy relevant. He is 14-12-2 with a 2.95 GAA and .903 SV% in his career.
Curtis McElhinney will start in Bobrovsky's place. Bobrovsky was injured while making a fantastic save in last night's 1-0 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Although he has not had the best first-third of the season, it would be a huge loss for the Blue Jackets if he is to miss an extended period of time.
Giordano missed 18 games but will suit up tonight with the Phoenix Coyotes in town. This is a huge boost for the Flames who get their captain and heart-and-soul of their blueline back vs. a strong Coyotes offence. Prior to being injured, Giordano was on a tear. He has two goals and seven assists in eight games. He obviously won't keep up the point-per-game pace, he is not Erik Karlsson, but he will post serviceable fantasy numbers. It is reasonable to expect him to finish between 30-40 points.
The 21-year-old Swedish centre scored his fist career NHL goal on October 11 vs. the Islanders. It was the only point he recorded in eight games before being sent down. While in Rockford he registered five goals and one assist in 15 games.
McQuaid re-aggrevated a lower-body injury that forced him out of action for eight games between Nov 11-25. Matt Bartowski is expected to enter the lineup in his spot.
Head coach Randy Carlyle said that "Kessel did not feel good in one part of his body" and asked to be excused from the workout. It does not sound like Kessel is dealing with anything serious, so he should be in the lineup tomorrow vs. the Stars.
Franson missed the last two games after being injured on Friday vs. Buffalo. Franson leads the Leafs with 13 assists, but is still in search of his first goal. Morgan Rielly will likely be scratched with Franson returning.
This is great news for the Red Wings and Datsyuk owners. He will not play tonight and I suspect he won't play on Friday either, but maybe Saturday back at home vs. Florida. Monitor his status throughout the week and into the weekend.
DeKeyser is on long-term injured reserve and is eligible to return between December 12-14, but he is not sure if he will be ready by then. He is aiming for a mid-to-late December return - especially with the Winter Classic on January 1. Before being injured he was averaging 25:04 TOI in his last five games and had two goals and nine points in 22 games.
Lupul is likely still a week away from returning to the Maple Leafs lineup, but his return to the ice this morning with the team, albeit as an extra, is a good sign for the winger. The Maple Leafs are hampered by injuries, so Lupul return would be immense.
It appears Vinny will miss his second straight game with the back ailment. His absence during the morning skate is a strong indicator that he will not dress tonight. Michael Raffl will remain in his spot on the 2nd line with Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds. Consider Lecavalier day-to-day.
It is not really surprising that he is not on the ice after just suffering the injury last night. The Leafs will release a full injury update on Bozak in the next couple of days after he is re-evaluated. He already missed a month with a hamstring issue earlier this season.
Kadri has been moved to the top-line in practice because Tyler Bozak is not on the ice after suffering a lower-body injury versus San Jose on Tuesday. Should Bozak miss an extended period of time, Kadri will likely get a look on the top-line with James van Riemsdyk and Phil Kessel - something that will certainly boost his fantasy value, because he not be great alongside David Clarkson so far.
Bourque missed five games in late November with a lower-body injury and will now sit with an upper-body injury. In Montreal on Monday he potted his sixth goal of the season to go with one assist in 23 games. Consider him day-to-day for now.
It appears Kane is in danger of missing a second straight game when the Jets face the Panthers tomorrow. He will have to skate on Thursday morning if he is going to dress, so we will update his status tomorrow.
Krug's availability for Thursday's game never really seemed in jeopardy, but this ensures that he will be in the lineup tomorrow. The 22-year-old defenseman has enjoyed a great start to the season collecting seven goals and 16 points in 27 games. The seven goals in tied for the league lead amongst D-men. He should be activated in all formats.
This is a good sign for the Red Wings and Datsyuk owners, he missed the morning skate yesterday and has been ruled out for tonight's game. Wings GM Ken Holland said that he needs a good week of practice before he can return to the lineup, so if Datsyuk can continue to practice he should be back by next week. It seems highly unlikely that he will play this weekend, but monitor his status regardless.

While the minimum amount of time spent on the injured reserve list is seven calendar days, there is no maximum amount of time that a player can be placed on the injured reserve list. If a player is set to be sidelined for longer than 24 calendar days or 10 NHL games, then a club may opt to place them on the long-term injured reserve instead. This allows franchises with the ability to exceed the salary cap while a player is placed on this reserve list.
No injury recovery timeline is the same as another as there are several factors that go into the rehab process for a player being affected by injury. Factors include but are not limited to, injury severity, player injury/medical history, age, as well as the location of the injury. Some injuries are able to clear up in a matter of days, while others may take an athlete out of action for the entirety of a season.
