Vrbata left Wednesday's game and did not return after playing 7:51. This would be a tough loss for the Coyotes, Vrbata is tied with the team lead in points with 13 (6G / 7A). Monitor his status following tomorrow's morning skate.

Morris was injured in Tuesday's contest with the Canucks and missed Wednesday vs. Anaheim. Morris, like many of the other Coyotes defenseman has been off to a strong start. He has four goals and six assists (10 points) in 14 games. Monitor his status following Saturday's morning skate.
Fasth made a brief appearance following the Ducks game-day skate this morning but is expected to be a full participant tomorrow. He will miss his 12th straight game tonight and it will be interesting where Fasth figures into the Ducks goalie situation. Frederik Andersen is 4-0 with a 1.36 GAA and .952 SV% since Fasth was sidelined.

Burns continues to practice, but has yet to shed the "don't hit me jersey". There is still no timetable for Burns return, but until he gets rid of that no-contact jersey he should be considered out. Monitor his status prior to Sunday's contest but it does not look promising.

The roster move allowed the Wings to recall Luke Glendening. Franzen will miss third straight game, but is eligible to return on Tuesday.

Stoner was injured in a collision in the first period last night. He tried to stay out for another shift, before calling it quits and retiring to the dressing room. Stoner is questionable for tomorrow.

Wilson has had a hard time staying healthy in recent years. He has missed a total of 63 games between the last two seasons and so far this year. Nick Holden will re-enter the lineup with Wilson out.

Weiss has already been ruled out for Saturday's contest but monitor his status prior to Tuesday, when the Red Wings take on the Jets at home.

Downie will miss his fourth consecutive game tomorrow, but is aiming at returning on Tuesday in Ottawa. He had one goal and six assists in 11 games with the Avalanche, but was injured in his first game with the Flyers.

Duchene missed Thursday's practice with a sore foot after blocking a shot on Wednesday. The general feeling was that Duchene would be fine to play tonight, so this is not surprise. Weiss is not skating this morning and Red Wings GM Ken Holland says that he is hurt and will not play tomorrow, but provided no details. This is a tough break for Weiss who appeared more comfortable with the Red WIngs in the last few games. With Weiss out, Darren Helm was skating in the top-six with Tomas Tatar and Daniel Alfredsson.

Perron sat for the last four games with a sore neck. If he does play tomorrow, it will be the first time that the Oilers top-6 forwards have all played together this season. Perron has two goals and seven assists in his first 13 games as an Oiler.

Important to note that Trouba is just doing some light skating and passing puck around with strength coach Lee Stubbs. This is still a positive sign for Trouba, who was stretchered off of the ice on October 18. The rookie defenseman was enjoying a strong start to his NHL career posting a goal and an assist in eight games. Trouba was logging 21-plus minutes a night so his return to the Jets lineup would certainly help solidify their blueline.

Dupuis left Wednesday's game early and did not return and then did not skate yesterday. Returning to practice today suggests that Dupuis will be in the Penguins lineup tomorrow.

The NHL injury report is updated daily so that you can see the latest injury news ahead of puck drop in any of today’s matchups. Seeing timely updates to the NHL injury report can make a major impact on your daily fantasy sports picks and wagers on a particular game. All information provided on the NHL injury report is provided directly by the NHL and each respective franchise to ensure accuracy.
While the minimum amount of time spent on the injured reserve list is seven calendar days, there is no maximum amount of time that a player can be placed on the injured reserve list. If a player is set to be sidelined for longer than 24 calendar days or 10 NHL games, then a club may opt to place them on the long-term injured reserve instead. This allows franchises with the ability to exceed the salary cap while a player is placed on this reserve list.
No injury recovery timeline is the same as another as there are several factors that go into the rehab process for a player being affected by injury. Factors include but are not limited to, injury severity, player injury/medical history, age, as well as the location of the injury. Some injuries are able to clear up in a matter of days, while others may take an athlete out of action for the entirety of a season.
