Sounds like Foster is approaching 100 percent. The offensive defenseman posted eight goals in each of his last two seasons. He could find similar success in Anaheim if given any significant PP time.

Sounds like Beleskey is approaching 100 percent. The 23-year-old proved in the past he can fill the back of the net when he scored 11 goals in 60 games back in 2009-2010. Look for him to challenge Andrew Gordon for the third-line LW slot.

Look for Cam Fowler to take his place in the interim. The Finnish defender scored three goals and 25 points last season while sporting a plus-32 rating. He could rack up the plus/minus again if he proves healthy and stays with the Corey Perry- Bobby Ryan - Ryan Getzlaf troika.
Erkine's injury leaves the team with only six healthy d-men. He played a career high 73 games last season but failed to eclipse 100 PIM and holds close to no fantasy value outside of some PIM and possibly a decent plus/minus.
At this point consider Niemi close to fully healthy, ready to start the season as the Sharks' starting goalie. Last season, Niemi won 35 games while sporting a 2.38 GAA and .920 SV%. With Antero Niittymaki already out, the two options for the Sharks would be Thomas Greiss or Harri Sateri if Niemi suffers a setback.

Havlat should be fully healthy to start the season. The winger scored 22 goals and 62 points in 78 games with the Wild last season. He should be able to improve those numbers with a much improved supporting cast.

No further word on the extent of Penner's injury. Last season the power forward scored 23 goals and 45 points in a down season. With a full, healthy year in Los Angeles, he could return to the 60-point range.
Doesn't sound serious as Moore has no structural damage on his back. Last season he scored 18 goals and 32 points while provided solid, two-way play on the third line. Expect him to repeat those totals this season under coach Guy Boucher.

Look for Crosby to return at the absolute earliest during Game 5 against the Washington Capitals.

Connolly was projected to start the season on the top line but he likely misses a few games. Connolly scored 13 goals and 42 points last season as injuries limited him to 68 games. Tyler Bozak will take his place in the interim as the top line center.
Both players not skating with the team indicates they will miss at least seven days from the time they are placed on IR. Last season he only posted 10 assists through 78 points. While he aids his team defensively, don't expect any offensive production from the former 9th overall pick.

Both players not skating with the team indicates they will miss at least seven days from the time they are placed on IR. Last season, the former 6th overall pick scored 15 goals and 42 points through 68 games for the Oilers.

Last season Santorelli scored 20 goals and 41 points through 82 games. With improved wingers he was expected to top those totals but could need to earn his place in the lineup following this injury.

Dwyer is listed as day-to-day and should return to the lineup in time for the season opener. Last season he added nine goals and 18 points on the third line. He probably starts the year on the fourth line.

If LaRose is not healthy enough to play in the season opener, look for the team to recall Drayson Bowman or Zach Boychuk. Last season LaRose scored 16 goals and 31 points in a checking line with Brandon Sutter. Jiri Tlusty probably replaces him on the third line if he can't suit up.
Sounds promising for Regin, who could be healthy for opening night. Last season he only scored three goals and 17 points as he battled through inconsistency and injury. While the Sens have an insurance plan in Mika Zibanejad, they likely hope their Danish playmaker can return to the 15 goal, 30+ point range.

Last season, Da Costa scored 14 goals and 45 points with Merrimack College last season, earning an entry-level contract. He finished the year playing four games with the Sens, failing to register a point. He will get a long look to make the team.
Commodore's injury probably doesn't directly affect the Wings as Jakub Kindl slots into the bottom pairing. The rugged blueliner scored two goals and six points in 20 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets last season. He likely holds limited fantasy hockey value despite playing on a powerhouse.
The team's brass continues to explain he will be ready for opening night but at this point he has yet to even practice. Last year he scored 43 goals and 86 points which led the team and finished sixth in overall scoring. Look for at least 30 goals and 70 points over a full season.

Backlund was expected to start the season on the top line but suffered this setback. Last season, he scored 10 goals and 25 points through 73 games for the Flames. Temper your expectations for this coming season as he figures to lose around two months of fantasy hockey value.

The NHL injury report is updated daily so that you can see the latest injury news ahead of puck drop in any of today’s matchups. Seeing timely updates to the NHL injury report can make a major impact on your daily fantasy sports picks and wagers on a particular game. While the minimum amount of time spent on the injured reserve list is seven calendar days, there is no maximum amount of time that a player can be placed on the injured reserve list. If a player is set to be sidelined for longer than 24 calendar days or 10 NHL games, then a club may opt to place them on the long-term injured reserve instead. This allows franchises with the ability to exceed the salary cap while a player is placed on this reserve list.
No injury recovery timeline is the same as another as there are several factors that go into the rehab process for a player being affected by injury. Factors include but are not limited to, injury severity, player injury/medical history, age, as well as the location of the injury. Some injuries are able to clear up in a matter of days, while others may take an athlete out of action for the entirety of a season.
