Poehling will be a healthy scratch for the first time this season, allowing Morgan Frost to return to the Flyers' lineup after being a healthy scratch for six consecutive games. Poehling has a -1 plus/minus rating and zero points while averaging 11:32 time-on-ice through eight games this season.

Frost has been a healthy scratch the last six games and will return to the Flyers' lineup on Monday, replacing Ryan Poehling. Frost broke out last season, recording 46 points (19G / 27A) in 81 games but hasn't had the favour of John Tortorella and the Flyers' coaching staff early this season. He is likely to slot on the second line with Travis Konecny and Tyson Foerster.

Maata will be scratched to make room for the return of Jeff Petry. In seven games this season, Maata has two points (0G / 2A) while averaging 15:31 time-on-ice, primarily on the third defensive pairing.

After playing the last two games, where he was held without a point, Lindstrom will be a healthy scratch for the Canadiens on Saturday. In four games with the Laval Rocket (AHL), Lindstrom was also held without a point while accumulating two penalty minutes and a -6 plus/minus rating.

Ylonen has played all seven games for the Canadiens this season but has been held pointless after scoring a goal in the team's season-opener on October 11th. He will be a healthy scratch on Saturday against the Winnipeg Jets to make room for Joel Armia's season debut.

After clearing waivers, Armia started the season with the Laval Rocket of the AHL. In four games with the Rocket, Armia had five points (4G / 1A). He is expected to line up on the fourth line for the Canadiens with Jake Evans and Michael Pezzetta.

Foudy was claimed off waivers from the Columbus Blue Jackets last week and will make his Predators debut on Saturday. The former 18th overall pick of the Blue Jackets in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has 19 points (7G / 12A) in 90 career NHL games, all with Columbus.

Tomasino will slot back into the Predators lineup on Saturday for the first time since October 17th. The Predators' 24th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft has one point (0G / 1A) through four games after breaking out last season with 18 points (5G / 13A) in 31 games.

It appears Marchenko will sit for the first time this season on Saturday against the New York Islanders to make room for Kent Johnson. Marchenko has three points (0G / 3A) in seven games this season but zero points in his last five.

Johnson has been in and out of the lineup as a healthy scratch to start the season but appears that he will draw back in on Saturday against the New York Islanders. Johnson has two points (1G / 1A) while averaging 13:13 time-on-ice through five games. He will likely play on a line with Cole Sillinger and Justin Danforth.

Sanford is set to make his season debut on Friday after signing a one-year contract with Arizona in the summer. The 29-year-old winger played 16 games with the Predators last season, registering two goals and one assist. He is expected to start Friday's game on a line with Logan Cooley and Michael Carcone.

Brown will take the place of Travis Dermott (illness). Brown has played in two games this season for the Coyotes, registering no points, one shot on goal, four blocked shots, and five hits.

Benning will sit for the first time this season after averaging 18:44 of ice-time in his first seven games of the season for the winless Sharks. He has just one assist and eight shots on goal in those seven games. Benning will be replaced in Friday's lineup by 36-year-old veteran Marc-Édouard Vlasic.

With the much-awaited return of Andrei Svechnikov (knee), Brendan Lemieux will be the odd man out of the Hurricanes' lineup Friday vs. San Jose. The 27-year-old scrappy left-winger signed a one-year, $800,000 contract in the offseason with Carolina and has one goal, four SOG, 31 PIMs, and a -2 plus/minus in seven games played so far in 2023-24.

Khaira made his Wild debut Thursday and had one SOG across 10 shifts and 8:05 TOI but will be the odd man out of Minnesota's lineup as they take on Washington Friday. With the Wild opting for an 11F/7D lineup Friday, he will be replaced by Daemon Hunt, who is making his NHL debut.
