The newly acquired Ponikarovsky is getting a chance to play on the Devils top line with Zajac and Kovalchuk. This definitely boosts Poni's fantasy value from what it was when he was with Winnipeg. He still isn't a great fantasy option but whenever you are playing with Kovalchuk and Zajac there is opportunity to produce.
NHL Scratches & Line Changes
After being bought out by the Rangers and coming to the Blues, Redden scored 2 goals in his first 3 games. Since then on the Blues current 5 game losing streak, Redden has been a minus player in all 5 contests and is a -7 overall. This isn't good news for Redden. Kris Russell will assume Redden's spot on the blueline.
Chris Vande Velde will draw back into the lineup in Smyth's spot.
Kovalev isn't the player he once was which is evident by the fact that he was a healthy scratch in the Panthers last two games. Unless scratching him woke him up and will spark some serious offensive production Kovalev remains as a low-end fantasy option.

Grigorenko was scratched in the Sabres last game but will draw back into the lineup tonight. The rookie only has 1 G and 2 A in 12 games this year but is still trying to find his way around the NHL. He only holds fantasy value in keeper leagues.

Myers was a healthy scratch for the Sabres last two games. He only has 1 goal and is a -9 in the 11 games he appeared in so far this season. The Sabres are hoping that using him as a healthy scratch will serve as a wake-up call to Myers and get his game back on track.

Palushaj has never been fantasy relevant in his NHL career so it's unlikely the change of scenery will change that.

Myers was scratched yesterday as well. He has been terrible for the Sabres this season, he has 1 G and a team worst -9 in 11 games this season. The 23 year-old has all the tools to be a great NHL defenceman but just hasn't been able to find his game early this season.

Myers has been having a tough start to the year. The former top prospect will have an opportunity to clear his head tonight. At this point, Myers is expendable in fantasy.

Lovejoy has 25 points in 98 career games, and is on a crowded blueline in Anaheim. He isn't a great fantasy option.

Goligoski was a healthy scratch in the Stars last game but will be back in the lineup tonight as the Stars take on a hot Ducks team. He has 3 assists and is a +2 in 10 games this season.

Bailey is still looking to play in his first game of the season after recovering from an injured knee. He is a decent fantasy option but I would wait to see his role on the Islanders team and how he plays out of the gate before running to the waiver wire to get him.

The Islanders would not say if Visnovsky would be in the lineup tomorrow, but said it is "very possible". Visnovsky also said he is ready to go. The 36 year-old Visnovsky has 450 points in 771 career games and could be a good waiver wire pickup if he fits in well in his new home on Long Island.

Kovalev had a strong start to his career as a Panther but has fallen off a lot lately. The 39 year-old has no fantasy value until he gets back into the Panthers lineup and starts scoring.

Boyle was averaging 14:19 a game and only had 1 assist with a -3. Boyle isn't fantasy relevant.

The former #3 overall pick is a good NHL D-man but not a good fantasy player. This will be a welcomed addition to the Panthers lineup but don't go running to the waiver wire to pick him up.

Granlund has struggled to start his NHL career. He is still only 20 years old and is tremendously skilled. He will find his groove eventually but for now he is only valuable in deep keeper leagues until he gets back into the lineup and starts scoring.

Visnovsky is finally ready to join the Islanders on Friday. He won't play tonight obviously so he will have missed the Isles first 10 games. He can play in the Isles 38 remaining game and is still a good fantasy option. He should see a lot of power-play time either on the 1st unit alongside Mark Streit or quarterbacking the 2nd unit.

Lundin is paired with Sergei Gonchar which could help his fantasy value. However he only has 35 career points in 241 games.
Goligoski was traded for James Neal and Matt Niskanen in 2011, I wonder if the Stars are starting to wish they got a little more in return. Make sure you get Goligoski out of your lineup tonight.
