The 22-year-old blueliner has split the first six weeks of the season between the AHL and NHL. Guhle has four points (1G / 3A) in four games in San Diego and three assists in seven games with the Ducks. He could draw into the lineup on Tuesday with Hampus Lindholm sidelined again.

Koivula continues to bounce between the AHL and NHL but has yet to suit up for a game with the Islanders. During his time with Bridgeport, the 21-year-old has registered two goals and three assists in 10 games.

Petan continues to jump between the NHL and AHL but could stay a little longer this time around because Mitch Marner is out for at least one month. Petan has one assist in five NHL games and seven points (2G / 5A) in three AHL games.

With Michael Hutchinson being waived on Monday, Kaskisuo comes up to serve as Frederik Andersen's backup moving forward. Kaskisuo is a 23-year-old, who has been with the Marlies since the end of the 2016 season. He has been fantastic to start 2019-20, going 6-1-1 with a 2.13 GAA and .928 SV% in eight games. He will likely make his NHL debut in Pittsburgh on Saturday night.

Toninato, 25, had one goal in three games with the Panthers during his call-up. Toninato's return to the AHL suggests that Noel Acciari will return to the lineup on Tuesday. Toninato has six points (4G / 2A) in 12 AHL games this season.

Lewington has not recorded a point in five NHL games this season and has not played since October 16th. With Michal Kempny back in the fold, Lewington was sent to Hershey, where he had 15 points (3G / 12A) in 65 games last season.

Merzlikins went down to get some playing time with Cleveland but was called back up quicker than originally planned. Joonas Korpisalo struggled last week, so Merzlikins returns after one game and will start Tuesday.

As expected, Kivlenieks served as Joonas Korpisalo's backup the entire time and is swapping spots with Elvis Merzlikins after the weekend. Kivlenieks is back with Cleveland, where he is 5-1-2 with a 2.37 GAA and .909 SV% in seven games.

Tore Krug was hurt late in Sunday's game vs. the Flyers, so Vaakanainen's call-up suggests that Krug will miss Tuesday's game and the 20-year-old defenseman will make his season debut. Vaakanainen was a first-round pick (No.18 overall) in 2017 and has two assists in 15 games with Providence this season.

This is the second time that Smith has been called up. During his first tour with the Red Wings, Smith had no points with four shots but carried an impressive 63.3 CorsiFor% in three games. During his time with the Griffins, the 21-year-old has scored three goals with four assists (seven points) in 10 games.

Volkov played in four games, including both games in Sweden, but failed to record a point with three shots while playing 11:56 ATOI. The 22-year-old winger returns to the Crunch where he has three assists in three games.
