Injuries Continue to Pile Up: Weber to Miss 1-2 weeks

Weber
What is going on in the NHL? Star players are dropping like flies. Malkin, Franzen, Toews, Kovalchuk, Ovechkin, Staal and several other notable players are all missing time to various injuries, not to mention the flu bug that’s going through the league. You can now add Predators defenceman Shea Weber to the list. Weber is expected to be sidelined 1 to 2 weeks with a foot injury.  This is a devastating loss for the Predators as the majority of their offense of late has come from Weber and fellow defenceman Ryan Suter. Weber has 6 points in his last 6 games and 9 points in 13 games overall.

The good new for the Predators is that captain Jason Arnott and Jordin Tootoo are both expected to return to the lineup on Thursday.  Martin Erat may also return Thursday.

If you need a d-man to fill the void on your team take a chance on one of these guys (all are under 50% owned on Yahoo):

James Wisniewski, Jason Demers, Ryan Whitney, Erik Johnson, Kris Letang, Denis Grebeshkov
