Buffalo Sabres right wing Jason Pominville returned to practice yesterday. He wore a red, non-contact jersey and is expected to be cleared for contact at some point next week.
According to John Vogl of The Buffalo News, Pominville was encouraged by his progress and wants to get back into game shape as soon as possible. He was originally injured by a blindside hit from Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson, suffering a concussion on the play.
Prior to sustaining this concussion, the 27-year-old played in 335 consecutive games.
