Keith Ballard out with a concussion

According to Jason Botchford of The Province, Keith Ballard will miss tonight’s game with a concussion.  The injury stems from a hard hit from Los Angeles Kings forward Brad Richardson, delivered on Friday night.

The team originally signed Ballard because he stayed healthy, after losing Kevin Bieksa, Sami Salo and Willie Mitchell to extended injuries last season. For the time being Aaron Rome will replace Ballard on the blue line.

We will provide more information on his timetable as it develops as concussions are always tricky.
