The Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings and New York Rangers have collectively placed nine players on waivers on Thursday.

The Bruins led the way with four, while the Oilers waived two.

All 18 players waived on Wednesday cleared.

Here is the full list of players waived on Thursday:

Boston Bruins
Keith Kinkaid, G
Joona Koppanen, F
Vinni Lettieri, F
Daniel Renouf, D

Colorado Avalanche
Jayson Megna, D

Edmonton Oilers
Slater Koekkoek, D
Calvin Pickard, G

Los Angeles Kings
Lias Andersson, F

New York Rangers
Jonny Brodzinski, D

Kinkaid, 33, signed with the Bruins this summer after spending the past two years in the New York Rangers organization. He posted a 20-14-3 record in the AHL, where he will return this season. Kinkaid is a solid injury call-up option for the Bruins with 167 games played over his 10-year NHL career.

Andersson, 23, missed a large chunk of 2021-22 due to an injury, limiting him to just two points in 20 NHL games. He had six goals in just four AHL games in a conditioning stint before getting called up to play fourth-line minutes for the Kings to close out the season.

Koekoek, 27, was in tough competition to make the Oilers out of camp from the get-go. Koekoek, who has 186 games played over eight years, didn’t join the team for training camp to take some time off to work on his mental health.

Three players have been claimed off waivers so far this fall:

  • Jonas Johansson (from COL to ARI)
  • Magnus Hellberg (from SEA to OTT)
  • Radim Zohorna (from PIT to CGY)
