Marian Gaborik back in the lineup against Sabres
Reports from the Rangers’ media indicate that Gaborik will return tomorrow, when the team takes on the cellar dwelling Buffalo Sabres.

Gaborik has been cleared to resume practicing and played with Erik Christensen and Todd White during line rushes. He could return tomorrow against the Washington Capitals, but is more likely to play on Thursday when the team hosts the slumping Buffalo Sabres.

Update 11/8/10 @ 1:18 PM: Andrew Gross of Bergen Record reports that Gaborik has been cleared for contact drills during the team’s practices and could return in the “next couple of games”, but is expected to miss tomorrow night’s game against the Washington Capitals.

Gaborik skated for the first time with the actual team during practice today. Certainly a good sign that he is on the road to recovery.

UPDATE 11/1/2010 @ 10:17 AM: Gaborik is skating on his own today, says Darren Dreger of TSN, via Twitter. He is still expected to miss a few more weeks.

Update 10/16/2010 @ 1:12 AM: According to Bergen Record’s Andrew Gross, Marian Gaborik will be sidelined with a left separated shoulder for 2-3 weeks. He also notes that Chris Drury broke the same finger that held him out of the first two games but that the break is different this time. Look for Erik Christensen to see a lot of ice time in the upcoming weeks if he can manage to return to the lineup as well . The Rangers will also need to recall a player as well as actually playing recently waived center Todd White.

Oh no, here we go again with Marian Gaborik.
The often-injured forward took a hard hit from Toronto Maple Leafs forward Colby Armstrong and would be able to stay in the game after attempting to stay in. The hit, which drove his right shoulder into the boards, could take Gaborik out for some significant time if his injury history resurrects itself.
Gaborik managed to stay relatively healthy last season, missing only six games with a groin problem.
As if the news wasn’t bad enough for the Rangers, their captain Chris Drury — who was making his season debut tonight after recovering from a broken finger — left the game during the second period after re-breaking his finger in a collision with defenseman Michal Rozsival.
