Matt Beleskey will start season with Getzlaf/Perry

For left wing Matt Beleskey today might as well be Christmas. According to Curtis Zupke of the OC Register, Beleskey will start with both Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf “barring anything unforseen” (aka injuries).

We touched a bit on this subject a few days ago, but it appears that Bobby Ryan will be moved from the left side of Perry and Getzlaf to the center of Teemu Selanne which diminishes his value a bit but also gives the opportunity to boost another player.  Past players to have success on that line include: Chris Kunitz, Joffrey Lupul, Ryan and even Selanne.

In other words, the players seem to work when playing with these two bruising Canadians.

Taken in the fourth round of the 2006 NHL Draft by the Ducks, Beleskey showed promise with 11 goals last season. He got a long look from coach Randy Carlyle last season due to the Getzlaf/Selanne injuries and seems to have impressed enough to be a fixture on the line for the time being.

Keep an eye on Beleskey and even add him in deeper leagues as current Yahoo! teams only own him at a measly 1 percent.
