Milan Lucic Ready to Return From Suspension

After a one-game suspension, Boston Bruins power forward Milan Lucic will return to the lineup. The controversial winger is expected to flank David Krejci and Nathan Horton on the top line while providing the team with the physical play they crave.

When questioned about changing his game, the Vancouver native was quite candid with his recent play. From CBS Boston:

“I can’t change my game. I play with a lot of emotion and I do everything I can to keep it safe and follow the guidelines of the new hitting protocol and all that type of stuff,” he said. “So obviously, a big part of my game is being physical and creating emotion. And I can’t lose that, that’s for sure.”

Look for Lucic to create havoc in the corners and in front of the net. The bruising power forward should be just that tonight against the Florida Panthers.

The NHL announced this afternoon that Boston Bruins star left wing Milan Lucic will not play tonight as he is suspended for his hit on Philadelphia Flyers forward Zac Rinaldo. If you own Lucic, make sure to place him on your bench tonight.

While the hit was somewhat questionable (see below), NHL czar Brendan Shanahan gave the hulking winger a slap on the wrist for his actions. Nevertheless, whenever the Bruins take on the Montreal Canadiens, Lucic should be asked to answer the bell; he will be missed.

Feel free to discuss the hit in the comments.
