The St. Louis Blues have acquired defenceman Marco Scandella from the Montreal Canadiens.

In return, the Habs acquired a 2020 second-round draft pick and a fourth-round pick in 2021.

Scandella, 29, has appeared in 51 games this season splitting time between the @Buffalo Sabres and the @Montreal Canadiens. In those games, he’s scored four goals and another eight assists.

He was acquired by the Habs on Jan. 3 in exchange for a 2020 fourth-round pick.

Scandella has appeared in 569 NHL games scoring 126 points. According to Puckpedia, Scandella is in the final year of a contract paying him an AAV of $4-million.

Montreal has retained 50% of Scandella’s contract in the trade.
