Mueller Reaps Benefit of Fallen Coyote

The Coyotes recently lost their leading scorer Scottie Upshall to a torn ACL, effectively leaving a gaping hole on the first line.  Who will likely reap the benefits? Peter Mueller.

A large disappointment to most owners, Mueller finds himself on the opposite wing of last week’s first star: Shane Doan.  In his first game on the first line the 21-year-old looked great as he scored a goal and assisted on two more, all at even strength.  Instant chemistry between Mueller, Doan and Matthew Lombardi should help replace one of their lone offensive weapons.

If coach Dave Tippett can trust the former 8th overall pick he should reap the benefits of his fallen foe.  Only two years ago he eclipsed the 20 goal and 50 point mark which essentially represents the pace of Upshall.  A strong second half would not be out of the question sp he should receive a long, hard look in all keeper formats.

Can your team use a multiple position, post-hype sleeper and current first liner on a playoff team?
