The PWHL announced Friday both the 2024 PWHL Draft and 2024 PWHL Awards will take place June 10 and 11 in Saint Paul, Minn.

The draft will take place June 10 at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium, while the awards will take place the following day at 1:30 p.m. ET / 12:30 p.m. CT at the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront Hotel.

While this is the second PWHL Draft, with the first taking place last September, this will be the first-ever PWHL Awards show. Last month, the league announced the names of its regular-season and playoff Most Valuable Player awards, naming the regular-season award the Billie Jean King MVP Award, and its playoff one the Ilana Kloss Playoff MVP Award.

“It is only fitting that the league’s most valuable players will be recognized with awards that reflect the leadership of Billie Jean King and Ilana Kloss,” senior vice president of hockey operations, Jayna Hefford, said in a release. “To have these awards named in their honour advances the sports legacy of these pioneers, who have devoted themselves to women’s equal rights in sports.”

In recent days, the league has announced a number of finalists for the awards.

On Thursday, Natalie Spooner, Alex Carpenter and Marie-Philip Poulin were named the finalists for the Billie Jean King MVP Award.

On Wednesday, Aerin Frankel, Corinne Schroeder and Kristen Campbell were named the finalists for the PWHL Goaltender of the Year.

On Tuesday, Ella Shelton, Erin Ambrose and Megan Keller were named the finalists for the Defender of the Year.
