2026 NHL Draft: Top standouts from USA Hockey All-American Game

Team Blue managed to win the USA Hockey All-American Game at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan, beating Team White 5-4 on Thursday.
The game featured players from the USA Hockey National Team Development Program and other stars from the United States Hockey League.
The two teams traded the lead throughout the game. It took until the second period for a player to score, but Wyatt Cullen would open the scoring with about eight minutes off the board in the second to make it 1-0 White.
Will Tomko and AJ Garcia would answer back, making it a 2-1 game for Blue just past the halfway point, Cullen would add another goal and an assist in the second, with Dayne Beuker scoring for White, while Brody George would get one for Blue to make it 3-3 heading into the third.
The best player tonight was Jamie Glance, who isn’t eligible until the 2027 NHL Draft. But today, he was all over the ice, creating chances and eventually was rewarded with the game-winner goal late in the third period. Cooper Soller scored for Blue with just under 90 seconds to go to extend the lead a little bit farther, just for good measure – and that was important, given Zach Wooten scored to make it 5-4. In the end, it wasn’t enough for White to reverse course, as Blue took home the win.
Here’s a look at the top 2026 NHL Draft performers from Thursday’s fight:
Lines for the USA All-American Game tonight at USA Hockey Arena. Broadcast will be on NHL Network at 7:00 PM ET. #NHLDraft
Team White
#1 Tobias Trejbal, G: Trejbal had a great half game, making 19 stops for a shutout effort. It felt like there were points early in the game where he was tracking shots a little slowly, but he made up for it with his big frame, quick glove hand and his ability to deal with pucks through traffic. Considered to be one of the top goaltenders for this draft, Trejbal’s ability to control shots where he wanted
#11 Mikey Berchild, RW: Berchild might not be huge, but he packs a ton of power into his shot. He made a great play that nearly resulted in the 1-0 goal, only for it to be taken away because Anthony Thomas-Maroon knocked the puck in with his hand. Berchild is competitive, battles hard and can definitely wire a shot on net. There’s a good chance he’s off the board before the end of the second round – scouts wish he were bigger, but he hasn’t been held back much at this level, at least.
#7 Wyatt Cullen, LW: Two goals and an assist? Not too shabby. Cullen was USA’s top player at the CHL USA Prospects Challenge back in the fall and he was easily the top forward tonight, too. His ability to get to the net and capitalize on loose pucks was second to none. The son of former NHLer Matt Cullen is an excellent skater who can beat you in a foot race in so many different ways. Cullen hasn’t played much due to injury this year, but has six points in six games already.
#16 Parker Trottier, LW: Trottier is a tough, tough dude. He’s not massive by any means, but he plays a rough-and-tumble game where he tries to separate opponents from the puck. The University of Notre Dame forward will never impress you with his puck game, but he moves all the time and does an excellent job of supporting his teammates on the rush. He’s the type of guy teams love as a potential bottom-six player.
#8 Dayne Beuker, C: Beuker continues to impress me. He’s not the biggest forward, but he’s smart and makes so many calculated decisions with the puck, which led to a three-point game. Beuker was more of a support player in this one, helping Berchild and Cullen with the two-way game so they could focus more on creating scoring chances. A guy like that will be just fine in college.
Team Blue
#31 Ryan Cameron, G: Goalies can often be overlooked at a showcase like this, but Cameron had himself one heck of an opening period with 14 saves. Team White was the much faster team, but Cameron continued to turn pucks away and showed quick footwork. Passed over a year ago, Cameron is one of the smaller goalies who makes up for it with pure speed. He can still struggle in the USHL from time to time when reading quality passing plays, but his athleticism is impressive.
#5 Jackson Marthaler, D: I really liked Marthaler’s game today. Marthaler is usually more a play killer and he showed that in spades today. I also liked his puck play today, making many excellent heads-up feeds, and even had an assist. Marthaler does a good job of forcing opponents to the outside, and he has the size to be difficult to push in front of the net.
#9 William Tomko, C: Passed over a year ago, it’s unlikely he’ll be left out in Buffalo this June. Tomko scored a goal, had a couple of great play breaks and proved he could handle the penalty kill. He’s a hard-working forward who is always moving and looking to create chances around the net.
#18 Brody George, LW: George typically doesn’t do anything particularly incredible in any given game, but he had a solid two-point effort tonight. He’s such a consistent forward who never lacks energy, and he’s good on the rush. George seems to take his game up another level when a game is tight, which is nice.
#26 Victor Plante, LW: Plante only had a secondary assist, but I really liked how he continued to force the issue and attempt to break up plays. Plante is a smart forward who lacks size, but he has the willpower to battle hard and win most of his matchups. He’s a good puck distributor who likes the middle of the ice, but I thought he did a good job of using the perimeter today, too.
